$100 bet the Chiefs go > 8-8 in 2018
I've been riding A. Smith's ass for years to my co-worker. He swears it's everyone elses fault besides Smith EVERY YEAR. I'm not even upset at the TN "Tighten's" playoff loss as I don't think Smith could lead us anywhere. Before the game I was telling everyone, if Smith gets hurt, we go to the Superbowl. That's neither here nor there.
He'll point out everything BUT Smith: Andy. Our horrible defense. Dropped passes. WR's not getting open. I've been on the PM bandwagon all year and his argument has been that PM will turn the ball over more, etc. I keep trying to explain to him that the team will ride with him and overlook his "rookie/1st year" mistakes as they know what he's capable of. PM will also make WR's look better and seem open. The defense will be better as well. Basically PM will mask a lot of team issues instead of the team needing to overcompensate for him. He was wanting me to put my $ where my mouth is by saying $100 if the Chiefs make the playoffs. I didn't want that bet. If Denver get's a QB with that Defense and running game, they could go on another SB run. And then Gruden might bring some stability to the Raiders debacle of an organization. Anyways, we settled on winning record. If the Chiefs go 8-8, it's a wash. HOME: Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Oakland Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers AWAY: Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks So stoked about next year more than any Chiefs off-season in my life. |
