Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.


Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?



Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Yeah, it was. Gas was leaking out onto the shroud.

The gunsmith said that eventually the bolt would have stopped operating - probably very soon. I don't think it would have done any major damage, but I'm glad I won't be finding out.

You just reminded me of my teenage years sitting in front of my dads press being bored to tears. It was like Christmas morning the day the Blue Dillions started showing up and the old presses came off the bench

I still load 10ga goose loads without an automated press. I use primer trays with x number of holes filled to scoop in and "auto count" the shot.

Boredom at it's finest. Makes you want to drool on yourself by the time you're done.

So I helped my friend pick up a generator with my truck in upstate NY about a 400 mile round trip. He gives me a browning A-5 12 gauge automatic shotgun and a box of shells. I appraised that gun at $1,500.00 that was awfully nice of him.

And note to self, never get your finger stuck between 400 lb generator and dolly

Welcome to the Dillon 650 brotherhood, frazod!

If you and your buddy are inexperienced reloaders, go slow.

My favorite 9mm load is 147g lead flat points from missouri bullet co., 3.2g of Vitavhuori N320, winchester small pistol primers. Makes 130 power factor and a less snappy recoil. Perfect for USPSA production division. Substitute berry's plated bullets for indoors.

Oh, we are going very slow. Very careful. Don't want to make any n00bish mistakes and blow anything up, including me, the press or my guns.
