Game of Thrones *Spoiler* Thread
There's been some recent confusion with the old spoiler thread, so I'm kicking off a new one for tonight's premiere. This is going to be the one for folks who've read all the books. So anything anybody might want to talk about is in bounds. Suffice to say, if you haven't read the books, you'll probably want to stay out of here until you do...

I've probably said this a dozen times by now, but no major POV character has ever been permanently killed at the end of his/her POV chapter. He wasn’t easy to find and he won’t be easy to stop.”

HBO hasn’t yet announced its Comic-Con plans, but if you’re headed to San Diego, it’s safe to assume Thrones will have a presence this year. Game of Thrones returns in 2014.

Awesome! The Red Viper is coming.

The last third of book 3 had a lot of major events, most of which are good and will be enjoyable for the audience. Probably to make up for kicking readers/viewers in the nuts with the Red Wedding.

Next season should be fun!

I think he's legitimately dead... until the Red Woman gives him the kiss of life.

What will be interesting is if the whole Lightbringer/sword of fire thing is brought back out... and if he has to thrust it through the heart of someone he loves to ignite it...

Would be kind of cool if that's the final step for making true Valyrian steel, actually. Something I've always wondered, since the sword of Azor Ahai was supposed to be the only thing that could fight against the White Walkers... and since Valyrian steel works against them... and since the creation of Valyrian swords was bound up in sorcery and has been lost to time.

Wrong. Think back to all the sure deaths in ASOIAF and tell me you're still sure he is dead. Especially a POV character. Ned's death was final and was left in a way you knew he was dead. The way Jon's POV ended was left to discuss. He never felt that last stab, so I think he warged to Ghost in that instant. Also look at Brienne's POV and tell me that's not similar. He's alive and it's quite obvious.
