Glen Mazzara Interview

Is there an end in sight to this show or do you foresee an indefinite run? --BklynChik

A: You know, ask me that after Season 7. Because I think we can go to 7 Seasons at least.

So, I'm almost done with the 4th season of Dexter....and after the 5th season.....I'll need to pick a new show to watch on DVD.

Is this one worth it?

I know they had the one zombie chained up to see how long it took him to starve. But he was set loose before that happened.

Yeah, it is. It definitely has its slow moments, particularly the beginning to middle of Season 2, but it's a fun ride. Besides, who doesn't like seeing zombies getting their heads blown off?

I liked the part to see how long they last, You could test their strengths and weaknesses. Perhaps see if you could get them to turn on each other.
Those were not "DEAD". They had the rage virus. They could be killed in any way you kill a living person, because they are living people. They could also sprint like a MFer.

The DEAD will never starve, and never die unless their brains are destroyed.

The Finale was excellent. The conflict with Rick and Shane was finally what I wanted to see. The shot of them standing in a showdown pose with the full moon behind them was a great cinema graphic shot.
Shane's transformation after his death answered the question of how the infection happens. I've been wondering about this since the start of the show.
A new katana wielding character is cameo'd, she looked bad ass. How was she controlling the walkers behind her? A new question I can't wait to find out an answer to next season.

I would still argue that 28 Days Later is a zombie movie. To me, a zombie movie is a survival story that includes a massive group out there that has the mindless desire of ripping any living human to shreds, which usually ends up in a post-apocalyptic environment. The fact that they're not undead is just a technicality.

I'm sure others disagree.

I totally agree that it's a zombie flick. Just not the traditional undead variety. But it has all the horror of a zombie movie, and in fact is even better because they're fast, so ****ing fast, and they don't get tired, they don't stop, and if one gets ahold of you, you're ****ed. On top of this, the reality of something like 28 Days Later ever actually happening is a lot closer to home than the undead variety.

Yeah, it's a great movie. The sequel 28 Weeks Later wasn't near as good, but my God the opening scene is one of the most intense, scariest scenes ever.
