Two, Maybe Three Things About Last Night's Game

3. I was out of town last night, Tivo'ed the game and flashed through it. Not much to say that Mellinger hasn't already said. A national audience -albeit only people who get NFL Network outside of KC and SD- saw what we've been seeing all season. It will be much more evident next week on MNF vs. Pittsburgh. One thing you can say about the Chiefs this year, they have been consistent. 29 turnovers in eight games. That's exactly halfway through the season. If Todd Haley were here he's say, well we're getting beat 72 to nothing at halftime, but there's still two quarters left to play. Since he's not here, next week he'll be telling his new team "I want to hang 72 points on these assholes by halftime!"

2. How can we have two guys that are worse than Fred Sanford in pass coverage? What was wrong with Fred anyway? Did he grab his chest last Monday and tell the trainers "I THINK THIS IS THE BIG ONE....ELIZABETH, I'M COMING TO JOIN YOU, HONEY!!!" ??? Dorsey hurt again. Allen hurt at guard. Some guy I've never heard of fills his spot, and at least that guy blocks better than Stephenson, our third rounder, who's "OLE'" block forced the Casshole fumble in the end zone. BTW: Nobody fumbles from a pass rush like Casshole. He's got it down to a science. McMidget costs us another game with passes he can't hold. Same deal as the Tampa Bay game. He can't pull in the pass, pick six the other way. Bowe decides if he can't get traded to Miami, he'll start laying the ball on the ground in the red zone. I'll show you for making me stay for eight more weeks of this sewage!

3. Enough. The horse is kicked to death. You almost have to give this team a standing ovation if you admire futility. They are a masterpiece of suck. They are the Mount Rushmore of dung heaps. They are the Mona Lisa of hopelessness. They are the Stravinsky of Stench. It's now up to Clark Hunt to show us who and what he is. If this is a diabolical plan to tank for the first pick in the draft, then bravo. Otherwise, the other NFL owners should give him a ball crushing wedgie and stick his head in a gold plated toilet bowl for polluting the NFL in prime time. Meanwhile, let's continue to work toward the Bengals game. "I see some red seats, and I want to paint them black....!"

Sorry dude. I'm on the run this week. Maybe I'll do "fifteen things" after the Pittsburgh game if that makes you feel better.

If I was Todd, I would totally do everything I could to embarrass this team and Pioli. At the end of the game I would walk over to the Chiefs sideline and take a nice long piss on their bench. Pioli did him dirty, and it's becoming more and more evident that even though he may have been a hot head and over matched trying to handle HC & OC duties at the same time, he was the reason we saw any progress over the last few years.

On that note, and I know I'm going to get some shit for this. But I am totally in favor of nuking this team from orbit at the end of the season. Not one MF'er that is employed by the Chiefs organization should be left. I'm including guys like Charles (who is an amazing player) with this tactical strike. While it would suck to lose some of our better players, I think this entire team (organization) has just become losers. It's now a part of who they are, and I would rather sacrifice a few good players and wash this taint away then continue on this atrocious path of fail and floundering.

My hope is that we get a new GM, and entirely new coaching staff, everyone down to the assistant field goal holders coach needs to be out of here. And that the new team of GM and coaches just cleans house. Put everyone on a firesale, get as many draft picks as you can, and completely rebuild this team.

It's actually worse than that. Pioli tried to ruin his career by bad-mouthing him to the media and under-cutting him at every turn. Pioli is a bastard. Even if you don't like a person or have difficulty working with them, you don't try and destroy their ability to earn a living in their chosen field of endeavor. They don't call him Dr. Evil for nothing, I guess.

In fact, that should have been another one of Mr. gblowfish's things ... but I guess we don't deserve 10 things ... we only get 3 things ... even though it isn't our fault that the Chiefs suck ... not our fault at all ... but we're supposed to be happy with 3 things ... even though all the other teams get at least 10 things ... if not more.

Agreed. "10 Things...." has literally been the only bright spot of Sundays this season. And now down to 3. I'm just not sure how much more a man can take.

They suck. All around. In every phase of the game. There isn’t much else to be said about it.
