Chiefs trade (Arenas) for...wait for it...a FB?
Chiefs acquired FB Anthony Sherman from the Chiefs...er Cardinals.
New Cards head coach Bruce Arians has no room for plodding fullbacks in his aggressive, vertical offense. So Sherman heads to Andy Reid's West Coast scheme as Jamaal Charles' lead blocker. The 2011 fifth-rounder graded out 20th among 25 qualifying fullbacks in Pro Football Focus' rankings last season. May 1 - 12:11 PM

All I'm asking for is a simple list of teams that have a better lineup in their secondary. It really shouldn't be that challenging if my claim is truly that ridiculous.

Buf, NE, TB, Hou, SF, GB, SEA, ATL, and maybe CHI. Those are the ones I'd take over KC's and I'm being lenient on a few of them.

The KC secondary was not good last year, but you can place a lot of that at the feet of Routt and horrendous safety play. As much as people want him to be Ed Reed or Polamalu, Berry is still a subpar cover man, and the Chiefs spent most of the year with street trash at FS.

However, a lot of those problems were exacerbated by the scheme and the lack of a consistent pass rush.

I agree. How much do you think an attacking scheme with a more talented player pool will improve the defense?

Some, but it won't be a sea change. The team still only has two guys who can generate any kind of pass rush. That's not enough to run an attacking scheme without corners who are excellent at jamming receivers, and Flowers ain't that.
