It would appear, lol.

I don't know why this show didn't click for me. The premise is right in my wheelhouse, but I just couldn't connect with it for some odd reason.

Without giving spoilers, can someone tell me what this is about? I saw the trailer on TV, but want to get thoughts before I embark on another show. I find time travel fascinating.

I'd say it's more similar to Quantum Leap than a typical time travel show. Each episode is them visiting a different time/place trying to prevent The Bad Guy from changing history.

An experimental time machine is stolen by ex-NSA asset Garcia Flynn, who mysteriously goes off the grid after allegedly killing his wife and child even though he claims they were murdered. A team consisting of history professor Lucy Preston, soldier Wyatt Logan, and engineer Rufus Carlin is sent back in time using an earlier prototype machine to capture him. They soon realize that Flynn is plotting to rewrite American history, and that each of them has a connection to his plan. He has Lucy's journal which he is using to change American history. Flynn revealed to Wyatt that while he was in the NSA, he intercepted a series of financial transactions between the mysterious Rittenhouse and Mason Industries, but when he reported this to his superiors, Rittenhouse had his wife and daughter murdered; since then, he swore to destroy Rittenhouse through time travel. He also reveals that Rittenhouse was founded in 1778.

Lucy's primary concern is for her ailing mother. Wyatt is shown grieving over the death of his wife. Rufus, who helped develop the time machine, is distressed over the fact that Flynn stole his invention and kidnapped his mentor.

The creators and show runners of the series drew inspiration from Quantum Leap, Back to the Future and Voyagers.

They've done episodes dealing with Lincoln's assassination, The Alamo, Watergate tapes, the moon landing and the Hindenburg. Next week's episode has Bonnie and Clyde in it and the one after is centered around Benedict Arnold. They change history every time they go back and the end of each episode we see the repercussions of each trip back. History has changed.

"The first episode of Timeless received generally positive reviews from television critics. Review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes gave the first episode an approval rating of 84% based on reviews from 37 critics. The site's critic consensus states, "Timeless is a fun throwback action series with a kooky premise worth watching, even if it is delivered clumsily at times."

I like time travel shows since I was a kid when Time Tunnel hooked me and I loved Quantum Leap.

I like the show and I'm getting into the characters involved on the show.

Hope that helps.

Someone told me to look up her fappening stuff from a couple years ago but I have no idea what they meant. Cough. Cough.

The show has been a slow burn, but I've enjoyed the entire season. I thought it really kicked into gear with the Watergate Tapes episode. Monday's moon landing episode was great.

The key thing with the clock & message in the clock...I paused it & the letter starts out "My dearest wife".

What are your opinions on that?
