Goodell: NFL Draft could expand to 4 days
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-...-a-4-day-event
While the NFL has not announced when or where it'll hold the 2015 draft, commissioner Roger Goodell told NFL.com that the league will consider making the seven-round draft a four-day event. The NFL moved this year's draft from April to May because of a scheduling conflict at Radio City Music Hall, but make no mistake: the league certainly doesn't mind taking up another month of the sport's landscape. That could be why the league isn't sure it wants to return to the month of April. Also, there have been rumblings in the past about moving the draft out of New York and into another NFL-mad city. (Hell, at this point, why doesn't the league just make the NFL draft a 30-day, 30-city event? It could go on tour every summer, just like DMB.)

I'd love for the draft to go back to two days but that ain't happening.
I'm 100% okay with rotating the host city.. Even if it's only NY - Chicago - LA. Player development wise they should bump the game day roster to 50 players minimum and make a ten player practice squad with half of those slots reserved for players who cannot be signed to another team. I'd also suggest that this protected player cannot be activated on short notice and be considered akin to a redshirt. You have to wait 2-4 weeks to activate the guy if he's needed and doing so reduces the number of PS guys protected from signing by one next season.

Are they (owners and Goodell) thinking more is better?
I don't think that is the case. Those that watch will get tired. Or-are the owners thinking-we need more time to evaluate and regroup. It is an exhausting few days and we need the rest. just asking. I will go on the record saying that I do not watch it. I just pay attention to Chiefs draft picks and where Iowa guys go. Other than that, I don't know much about the kids being drafted.
