Didnt see this posted anywhere.

Bungie's Destiny Will be Revealed in 5 Days

Mark your calendars for this Sunday, February 17.

by Lucas M. Thomas
February 12, 2013

Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

Bungie said on twitter that nobody has beaten the raid yet. It looks confusing as hell.

I think you are flip-flopped. Rep is easy to get, through bounties/patrols missions/events. Vanguard Marks are the currency you earn from Heroic Mission of the day, Strike Playlist & WeeklyNightfall mission. You need the +rep to level the Vanguard dude to Level 3, then you can buy legendaries with said Marks.

You can also buy legendaries from your Class Specific leader dude, and buy from Xur (he only appears over the weekend). Xur uses those "strange coins" for currency. You can get those from the missions above, as well as random drops from mobs/chests. You also get blues/rares from Cryptarch when you level him up. He sends them as a gift to the Postmaster each time you level him.

I watched those farming videos and while they work very well, I just don't have time to log in and grind all day. I only get an hour or 2 a night to play with buddies, so we just roll with the daily/strikes and pop consumables that extract more glimmer. Seems to work so far.

Took 14 hours for some people to beat it.

And once people start getting better gear, and learning strategies. It will go really quickly.

Rep is easy but long time to get rank

I'm really liking this game so far but I suck ass within the Crucible. I'm always in last place for my team with only about 8 kills while everyone else gets at least double that. I'm trying to find the best weapon to use for this and think the auto rifle might be my best bet to improve. I was constantly trying to use the Hand Canon or Fusion Rifle with no luck. I finally got another auto rifle (sold all of mine off) so I'll give that a go.

So far I'm not a fan of fusion rifles. Maybe I just suck at using them.

Auto rifle is very good for crucible.

Fusion rifles are solid for taking down those shields, just gotta match the color. I never tried them in PvP though.

Right now the biggest issue I have with this game is time. I don't have enough of it. I try to chip away with an hour or so every night, just to do the daily heroic mission/strike/vanguard bounties and if I have time, some strike playlist with buddies. I played maybe 1 game of crucible, and decided to just stick to PvE because I just like to chill with a beer and have fun with buddies. I am thinking about the 3v3 crucible though.

Sorry about that. I'm pretty much in a permanent 3 man fireteam now. I occasionally find myself alone but it's rare. Keep sending the invites and when I can I'll lend a hand.

A buddy and me are usually playing together. If I see you online next time I'll invite you to our fireteam.

What level are you? He's a 19 and I'm a 20 so we are pretty much just doing the daily and weekly challenges. I still haven't finished the storyline either.

Use a fusion as shotgun, you might see better results.

Only thing that sucks about it is when you have to kill two people at once.

Not really. Just play the dark beyond mission on the moon, when all the enemies come out at once go ham. Then let em kill you. Repeat until done.
