In the spirit of All-Star voting, how about voting in this too?

I don't want to watch ****ing Nori Aoki in the All-Star game any more than I want to watch Orlando Infante or Alex Rios. If Rob Manfred has any balls at all, he will do what Ford Fricke did in 1957 when the Cincinnati fans stuffed the ballot boxes: he'll overrule the fan vote and strip the voting from the fans.
He shouldn't. When Obama first won, and flocks of first time voters came out who have never voted before, they didn't discount those votes.

Alright I'm done voting for Infante. I'm not rewarding that piece of crap just because he is a Royal.

Carlos Correa, coming into his 9th game, had a higher WAR than Escobar. Tonight he hit his 3rd HR (108 MPH exit velocity) and is 2-2 on the game.

Vote Correa

I think a much more relevant comparison is when the Reds fans stuffed the ballot box for the 1957 All-Star game. Ford Frick had some kojones.

First-time voters are not the problem. Individuals who intentionally rig the system by voting hundreds, thousands, or even one million times are the problem. On ESPN's Mike & Mike show today they referenced an article written by one of these individuals. The article encourages Royals fans to stuff the ballot box and it gives a step by step guide telling how to vote a million times with a single email address. I've tried to read the article several times this morning, but the request always times out. So I don't know how many times that guy voted, but I think it's safe to say he is abusing the system. Hell, several posters on here have described themselves as voting hundreds of times, if not more.

You can try clicking on the link, but it will probably time out:

http://crowncrazed.com/2015/how-to-p...-email-address

I guarantee you that if it could have been proved that a single voter had voted over a million times for Obama, something would have been done.

I can't imagine spending the time to do that. I know it's your business what you do with your time, but I have to believe you'd be better off as a human being if you devoted that time to something else.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. Those were the rules established by MLB and Royals fans were just better at it. Once everyone else caught on, it was too late.

Comparing a Presidential election to starters in the All-Star game that will play 2 innings max in an exhibition game. I've heard it all.

Wtf are you babbling here? Nobody is voting "a million times". Gordon only has like 4m votes. So we know that's not happening. Second MLB tosses out votes from the same IP address. Third, MLB isn't seeing a huge geographical concentration. We're voting more per capita but we aren't 1/2 the votes or anything.

This is a non story

again, I don't really give a shit ... I was hoping we'd get Cain / Gordon / Hosmer / Moose / Sal / Davis in the game this year (not necessarily as starters).

but this is kind of funny ... why does MLB let you vote 35 times, anyways? Why not just once per email? I still don't get that. Seems pretty dumb if you ask me.

when I was a kid I got about 35 ballots and poked holes in most of them when I went to games. Often times left a hanging chad for Chad Kreuter.

I get that. I've voted once (after everyone bitched about the Royals) ... and they literally just let you re-submit 35 times while just typing in a few security letters each time. It seems ... dumb. Why not just once? What's the friggin' difference?
