Another case against OG in 1st round
This article is a week or so old, so if Q, well suck it I don't care...
2013 All Pros, and where they were drafted. http://www.cleveland.com/datacentral...t_round_o.html 1st Team OGs Evan Mathis, PHI, 2005 3rd round, 79th overall Louis Vasquez, DEN, 2009 3rd round, 78th overall 2nd Team OGs Logan Mankins, NE, 1st Round, 32nd overall Jahri Evans, NO, 4th Round, 108th overall Josh Sitton, GB, 4th Round, 135th overall One 1st round pick, maybe the best OG in the NFL and likely HOFer, the FINAL pick of the 1st round. I don't care if the top WRs, pass rushers, Ss, CBs are gone by 23 and Martin is sitting right there, I still don't want to take him. Interesting flip side, looking at All Pro DLineman, 1st and 2nd teamers, 7 of 8 guys were 1st rounders. Also, apparently Peyton is so good, the 2nd team doesn't even need a QB. So mother **** you pioli!!! |

Not if we sign a vet FA that can do the job at RG for one year. Davin Joseph or Travelle Wharton are just a couple of viable options that would come at a good rate.

They haven't proven good or bad so far. Too small a sample size. I can say it's no small feat to go from winning 2 games to winning 11. I don't give a **** what kind of pansy cupcake schedule you've got. There was some good coaching going on somewhere...

Why would you place implicit and unwavering trust in an unknown, especially given this franchise' history? |

Sure, we all think that but judging from the lack of activity on the part of our FO in that department right now, it's not likely that they'll lean that way. Either that or they are waiting until after the draft to make those kind of signings.

Yup, which means the safe pick. Again. But we'll see. Dorsey does like to gamble on the higher potential guys if the past drafts that he's been involved in are anything to go by.

It really all depends on if they think Rishaw Johnson is ready to start at RG. If that is the case then the 4th would be a backup anyway. If not they will have to sign a G in FA or draft one higher than we would all like.
