The vast majority of left-wing protesters arrested on suspicion of politically-fuelled offences in Berlin are young men who live with their parents, a new report found.

A third of them were unemployed, and 92 per cent still live with their parents.

It's a good message and I never did, while I had friends that did it for a few years here and there (late 20's and early 30's!). I was embarrassed for them.

Where did they take their girlfriends??? Did they even have them? That’s my question.

Funny enough, yes. My good friend and his gf had been together 7 years at the time. He had just finished Grad school but "couldn't" find a job (he was just being too picky!). Him and her decided it was a great idea to move in with his parents in their late 20's until he could find something more permanent in his career field. She took a low paying job and he worked some odd jobs but nothing consistent. Spent just over a year living with his parents!

He found a good job in another state and they moved there for about 4 years. Last year she found a better job back in our home state and they decided to move even though he didn't have a job yet (he has the advanced degree and makes the better money). It's a year later on this move and he's doing some odd job contract work and driving for Lyft! At least this time they bought a house, but I'd never go that long not having a steady job, even a shitty one!

Not surprising, especially in Europe. Activists are generally people with nothing better to do.

The millennial life plan... don't go straight to college, spend a couple of years doing nothing in the basement while you 'figure things out', then go to school part time when your parents threaten to kick you out. Get a certificate in something (bonus points if it's useless as to any actual career). Then complain when no one will hire you for a cushy office job with daytime hours at a high salary.

Better than that. Wait until your parents sue to remove you out of their house. You didn't ask to be here and deal with this crap.

I have a cousin who graduated sometime in the mid-1990's with a marketing degree who could not find a job in his field post graduation even back then. He wound up working for Bankers Life on straight sale's commission finally. It was the best he could find and still live in his home state of NH.

So he lived at home as the last child out of my aunt's home, until he made enough to live on his own. I am not sure how long it took but I do recall it was more than a year at least. He didn't stay long--but to make a long story short, by age 28 his income was about $280k per year and now that he's older he makes about $450 which includes residuals. He creates his own marketing seminars, tools and advertising using his marketing ed. That's phenomenal success imo. He gives back to his mother, by helping her who never worked a day in her life. He pays all her energy bills outright and more. So he takes care of her in her old age. I think a job that requires time to build an income because it's straight commission is a legit excuse for living at home temporarily.

Also, I would have been fine if my daughter needed to live at home for a year until she found something permanent--but she didn't want to live where I or her father lives. She couched surfed for about 6 months instead -- lol. Then took care of a second home for a PT employer where she could live for free for a year. That helped her save money for her first apartment finally.

I look at that as-putting yourself in a position to be successful. I love people and stories like his.

Many today don't or won't do that because it is doing too much. Would rather play video games, live at home, can't get off the couch. Wait for someone to come to them, blame everyone else. Until people know hardship, are challenged, or are forced to live on their own. They will be slugs.
