Good read on Maclin and his impact on the other WRs

I enjoy Paylors articles. He does a nice job and actually understands the game. I'm sure it won't be long till he moves on to a larger market or opportunity in general. |

Still have no idea why we weren't throwing fades to Conley. Elite speed, elite vertical and above average size.
We saw him show that ability when he scored a TD in the Houston playoff game.

Of course, it wasn't just one guy, but they did exhibit some commonalities.

I wonder if Maclin can teach Wilson how to judge the ball and anticipate a diving/leaping catch? I'm still not sure Wilson is durable enough to survive inside, he had to start avoiding contact to stay healthy on the outside. I have always had high hopes for Conley. I still would have picked Lockett but still love the Conley.

Fades are not really part of Reid's offense and Smith doesn't like throwing those type passing to a receiver he doesn't trust yet.

2016 Chiefs offense; 26 pass attempts per game; Maclin and Kelce 2000 receiving yards and 18 TDs. All the other eligible receivers 2000 receiving yards and 12 TDs. 2 home playoff wins and a ticket to the SB. Go Chiefs.

Only injuries will let us down this year. Let's hope they are minimal.

Mitch Schwartz and hopefully improvement from the young guns on the interior of the line could make that a possibility. That's not exactly a strength of Smith who has a tendency to take the "safe" underneath route anyway. With more time, I could see more post routes with YAC yards being a strength of Conley.

I realize Willie Roaf was a trade, rather than a free agent. However, I'd rank him as a top 10 acquisition as well. It's unreal to think that we had both Roaf and Shields on the left side with Jason Dunn and Tony Richardson opening up huge lanes as well. Just imagine the stats Charles would have put up with that kind of run support.

I don't think wilson will ever get it. Conley on the other hand.. he may be the most athletic Wide reciever on the squad, if he gets it.. oh boy.. three headed monster with Kelce, Maclin and Con. Also, add in the fact DAT is just explosive no matter where he is on the field and Charles.. Andy reaaallly needs to push the offense.. turnovers be damned.

We should use Charles/Ware the same way Cincy uses Bernard and Hill. They're an even deadlier combo. Charles is obviously much better than Bernard and Ware is better than Hill of last year IMO . |

Great signing, I hope he spends some time with Conley to improve his game. Dat will stop wasting our time soon and maybe Wilson will decide to care enough to catch important passes this year!
