If the Chiefs never existed...what NFL team would you support and why...?

Pretty much the subject line....

Many of us cheer for the Chiefs because of a favorite player at one point; it is where we were raised; or it was who we were raised to cheer for regardless of your location.

So say the Chiefs never existed...and there was never another NFL team in KC for that matter.

What team would you cheer for?

Unfortunately, I would probably be a Vikings fan as both my parents were born and raised there and 90% of my family still lives up there.

They had a great draft and I've always loved to see crap teams rise from the ashes

Unless they're in the AFCW of course

In the era I grew up, between Randall Cunningham, Buddy Ryan and Donovan McNabb, I'd probably be an Eagles fan.

I probably would have flirted with DV's Rams, but ended up following Kurt to the Giants and Cardinals overall instead.

Either the Colts (long time Johnny U fan) or the Cowboys. Never any thought to being a fan of anything St. Louis.

Great question.
Sadly, for me, the answer would probably be the shitty bullshit raiders, since I grew up liking them, and because Bo and Howie are still 2 of my favorite former NFL players. It makes me want to peel off my skin to type that, but it is what it is.
Other than that, it'd be a toss up, probably, between the Bears and the Vikings. Maybe the Eagles because of Cunningham.
Edit: Possibly the Rams, because they were decent when I was coming into NFL fan-hood, with "Chris" Everett, Ellard, etc.

Titans.

Dad was born in topeka and was die hard Chiefs fan so I was born into it.

I wanted to cheer for a new team in my early teens just to spite him because that's what teens do right?

The Oilers had just moved to TN and I loved watching McNair and Eddie George so it was an easy decision.

Never stopped being a Chiefs fan though. They've always been my 1 seed but I still watch every Titans game too.

I suppose if the Chiefs never existed it wouldn't have ended up like that. So i'd probably be a Redskins fan.

I probably wouldn't follow any NFL team and just watch college football (which I find more exciting anyway). As it is now, I'll watch the chiefs play because theyre my team, but I practically have to force. myself to watch any other non chiefs game.

I used to love football when I was a teen through my late twenties. But it's become too saturated and sterile.

Now it would be the Shitty Tennessee Horrible Titans who would probably lose to half the damn MAC teams. Hope they can get back to where they were in the late 90s early 2000s. The games actually used to be pretty fun to go to, they had a great atmosphere, and it could get loud. Not as loud as Arrowhead, but pretty damn loud! They have got the right QB now, and the new GM has added some other pieces to help. Not sure if Mularky is the right coach, but with the added pieces they might get a decent season and go from there. The AFC South is a good place to rebound.

That's easy to say, and may be entirely true in your case. But I find myself wasting entire Sundays from the first flickers of NFL Sunday Morning, until the Prime Time signoff, just clicking from game to game, highlight to highlight, more than I'd like to admit.

It's like a weekly live drama battery recharge.
