So, how many articles does it take to be "a big deal"?
Not sure. How many articles did they have on Stormy Daniels? How many hours of breathless coverage of Trump getting two scoops of ice cream? They will report on all news. The frequency of reporting on stories that push their narrative and scant coverage on stories that don't is the issue. But you already know this. You're just being dishonest.

While open borders and sanctuary cities are fool hardy, you are ignoring the fact that refugees come from all over the world, and most are NOT connected to the Muslim faith, let alone terror networks.

If you really understood what people in Central America are dealing with in places like Honduras, you might have a bit more compassion for those trying to escape and looking for sanctuary. Plus the people I've met and worked with who fled that area have been tremendous workers willing to learn skilled jobs. A friend lost his brother, dad, and an uncle to the violence there, all because they refused to join in the gang activity.

I understand what's going on, and let's not pretend that illegals from SA haven't committed crimes against our citizens.

Don't you understand the majority sentiment about this on CP? They should stay in their shithole country and bootstrap themselves to prosperity! Bootstrap that freedom, brown folk!

I'm not sure what to make of this post.

Are you saying brown people can't form successful governments or achieve things on their own merits?

Because your sarcasm indicates you think it's unreasonable to expect 'brown people' to apply for, or be granted, legal citizenship here OR form their own successful nations. Please clarify this smarm into something coherent.

What LR was responding to was an assertion that they were simply more or less mostly criminals, which has nothing to do with your incredibly strange response.

All of this plus the fact I am 100% certain most people these days apparently don't know the actual definition of seeking asylum.

Asylum does not equal - going somewhere better than where you live now to better your life. That is immigration, not asylum.

The terms have been blended together to the point they are both used incorrectly.

This is a riff on the long-running sentiment of many folks here who believe illegals seeking asylum here (or elsewhere) should rebuild their own countries and make their own freedom. As if fleeing the dangers of gang violence, trafficking, and certain death were a moniker of apathy for self-reliance.

Give me a ****ing break.

It amazes me how people fail to understand that if America keeps accepting the poverty class of every third world country to our south that those nations will never improve in quality of life, for they would never have to. Mexico and Central America are governed by corrupt overlords who don't give a drop of piss about the citizens of their nations and are more than willing to pass the buck off on America. If we stopped doing this, it would force these countries to deal with the problems with their citizenry, and maybe even be forced to change for the better (IE: deal with the poverty class rising up and demanding to be heard). God forbid we actually have affluent neighbors to our south instead of the ****ing shithole countries they've allowed themselves to become. I'd be WAY more open to the thought of a NAFTA deal with countries that had their shit together, but I digress.

If you think we need to just allow immigrants to walk into this country no questions asked based on the thoguht of "humanitarism", then congratulations - you're part of the problem these Central American countries are dealing with.
