I said residents. As in, they live there.

If a state wants to let them vote in state elections (not federal), why not. Itís their decision.

If you think California is doing great, I don't EVER want to hear you complain about income inequality.

California is pioneering new ways for the rich to stomp on the working class. Their infrastructure is collapsing as they spend tens of millions on the thousands of homeless people and illegals... Yay! I mean in SF they have FOURTEEN PEOPLE who's full time job is picking up used drug needles.

Which SF quite literally gives away in an effort to stop the spread of HIV. So they give out the needles, which end up creating an HIV obstacle course in their city, then they pay FOURTEEN people to pick up the hundreds of needles.

That's an interesting way to create jobs.

Totally. Kalifornia is an awful awful place full of murderous Illegals, infested with shit everywhere and it costs like $3K a month to live in the slums.

Once, i was walking down the street and an MS-13 Illegal punched me in the back of the head, i slipped on a pile of shit and landed on a used heroin needle.

Something has to be done! Please conservatives, save us!

There are a lot of cities giving away clean syringes. I'm sure all of them have to deal with the used ones one way or another.

All joking aside.........

I have friends that own a very nice condo overlooking Petco (San Diego).

They bought it probably 7-8 years ago.

While downtown continues to expand it's reach - it also continues to grow it's bum/vagrant community as well.

As cool as that condo is, I dont think I would want to live down there now - especially if I had kids.

Sure, they're also relatively isolated to downtown. The reason they're in downtown and not really the rest of the city/county is because the largest social service programs and shelters exist there. Homeless flock to where the social services are, naturally, since their transportation is their own two feet. Downtown also serves as a hub for nearly all of our public transportation services.

I wouldn't want to live in a downtown condo either, and i spent most of my adult life living within 5 minutes of downtown.

San Diego has many far, far nicer communities than downtown and they're void of homeless populations.

If I break into your house later, do I get a vote as where you're going on vacation this year?

Are homeless people also considered residents? From the point of view of allowing non-citizens to vote the answer should be yes. Of course ID's can't be mandated. So neither a physical residency is required, nor government issued IDs. How could you propose to stop anyone from voting in the election? All they have to do is claim they are homeless and without legal citizenship.

Of course then there's the issue of why anyone without legal citizenship would even consider voting. Voter rolls are generally public records which mean the federal government could easily come in and request the voter rolls. This would provide them with the names and addresses of all of those in the country illegally(who decide they want to vote).
