I think it's going to be Davis Webb.

This article checks every box on Andy Reid's qb check list.

If these guys are off the board (all of whom would be day one starters minus the QBs):

Myles Garret
Jonathan Allen
Marshon Lattimore
Jamal Adams
Derek Barnett
Reuben Foster
Haason Reddick
Christian McCaffrey
Dalvin Cook
Jarrad Davis -- higher on him than most
Deshaun Watson
Mitchell Trubisky
Patrick Mahomes
Gareon Conley

I'd try to trade down and take Davis Webb in the second. If I couldn't trade out I'd still take him at 27. The fifth year option would be nice. I like Zach Cunningham, Charles Harris, Taco Charlton, Takkatist McKinley Tyus Bowser, Kevin King and Marlon Humphrey but I wouldn't be high fiving everyone in the room if we took one of them at 27.

I really hope we trade up and take Mahomes or Watson. I've been a Chiefs fan since '93. The highest QB we have taken since then has been Brodie Croyle. The law of averages and common sense has to break my way at some point... hopefully.

I think it's hilarious that a lot of people who don't like mahomes likes Davis Webb. Go watch his game against Washington on draftbreakdown. It's against actual NFL caliber corners and then come talk to me about his footwork and his mechanics. God he made some awful throws. Do not want this guy at all

You guys think this will happen?

Nothing, of course, is more important for the Chiefs than drafting the eventual successor to quarterback Alex Smith. Look for the Chiefs to make every effort to get that done, even if they have to trade up a few spots in the first or second round. -- Adam Teicher

Serious question, do you honestly believe the Chiefs will never draft a QB in the 1st simply because of this?

Nobody can possibly be that ****ing ignorant.

Nobody can "say for certain" that we will ever win another football game again either

It has to happen eventually.

Interesting NFL Draft odds (Bovada)

O/U 2.5 QBs in round one
O/U 25.5 draft position for QB Watson
O/U 10.5 draft position for QB Trubisky

I've got a good feeling Watson or Mahomes will be there with a willing trade partner at 21-23. The compensation should be right about our comp 3rd.

I think Dorsey trades up, he doesn't need more picks this year, everyone knows who we're targeting, and if you want Mahomes you're going to have to go get him in the late teens early twenties. Davis Webb is the settle pick, and even then I think we go BPA if we stay put, which I don't think would be Davis Webb.
