Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Agreed.

I did really enjoy getting a perspective on daily life in Beijing, China. Even though I'm sure they Hollywoodized it, it was still kinda cool to see the culture.

and I didn't understand how Jaden Smith turned into a super black belt master with the training he got. How did he learn those super jump flip, ninja moves?

Yeah. Looks like I'm gonna be even later. I tried watching it, but the internet connection at my hotel isn't the greatest. It'll have to wait until sometime later this week.

Can't find GC's Catfish thread... I enjoyed that movie. But someone else recommended "Talhotblond" and said it was better. They were right.

It's more of a straight up documentary. People do some ****ed up things for the sake of entertainment. Or escapism... I dunno.

Finally watched The Social Network.

I think people are conflating a film about a generational phenomenon with being a film that encapsulates a generation. That said, it was very good, just a touch overrated and lacking in historical perspective.

I caught Faster last night. For what it was, it was solid, albeit predictable.
