I played a 1993 Custom Shop Fender Strat with a Mary Kay finish and Fat '54's and man, I regret not pulling the trigger to this day.

Here's one of my Strat's. It's a 1993 Custom Shop in a custom color (which didn't even have a name!). It's got a 10"-16" Compound Radius, Texas Special's, a Gotoh bridge and vintage tuners. I don't use it that much but it can be heard on shows like Pawn Stars, The Voice, Counting Cars and many more. It's a killer SRV sounding Strat.

Beautiful.

When I play this guitar and my bass player is playing the upright, they get that airy woody tone I hear on those old 78 RPM jazz records. You can almost hear the pops and scratches.

1936 Slingerland Songster. Wide fretboard and big chunky neck like a telephone pole. 80 years does wonderful magic to excellent tone woods. Maple back and sides. Adirondack spruce top. I have owned this guitar for 30 years, but it was unplayable until I found a luthier in Memohis that fixed it up for me a couple years ago.

I currently reside in jazz chord nirvana.

That is awesome.

'65 Gibson Melody Maker. It has a Seymour Duncan P90 in it. Not original, but killer.

Strat.

Fender Mandolin.

Michael Kelly mandolin.

Kala Ubass.

Ukuleles.

Schecter Hellcat VI, based on the old Fender Bass VI and tuned same as a guitar but an octave lower. 30" scale length.

I've got the strain of GAS that don't kill ya, but never goes away. Been battlin' for decades. too.

Yes. It helps dampen overtones. I don't always use it, depends on the strings. I had Corelli Tungsten strings on it then which are very bright.

Wins thread right there... I'm a Strat guy and this has to be one of my all-time favorites I have seen, LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT COLOR!!!!

Just arrived today:

Sounds great. I've been using GK for a long time, but since I'm playing in a soul band now I wanted something more old school sounding. Very warm, but tight lows. Very tube-like for a solid state amp. I can't wait to try it out with the band tomorrow night.
