Okay, with these top picks I'll step in for an absentee owner. Manually take RGIII off the board and he'll go to the Aurora Borealis. Please don't select RGIII from this point on, and let's keep going.

ABORT FOR THE MOMENT.

My apologies, but we need to address a couple of things, and cdcox isn't available.

I would normally say that we should just keep going, but we need to have an autodraft function or the early teams are going to get really screwed.

Sorry. Let's go back to the huddle and restart this thing at noon CST on Monday. Sorry for the problems.

Yeah, both leagues.

As an explanation, we're still learning how to manage this, and I see a problem.

If a team misses a high draft pick, they get kinda screwed. I don't really care from a player's standpoint if they screw themselves, but it's bad from a league standpoint because it can lead to some teams being really weak. We kind of had the problem in the initial draft and partially overrode it manually.

We're going to build in an override at some point that will just award the team the highest NFL draft pick still available. I figured I could manually implement it if need be at this point, but we just got a system for me to override a team last night, and there seems to be a problem. I wasn't expecting to have to use it on a top-five pick, which was happening in both leagues, but those teams really need to receive those picks from a league equity standpoint. We can restart once I can get the override system fixed.

Again, sorry for the false start.

Cool, sounds good. As it's still in beta, you're obviously still learning (I would hope), and though I can't speak for anyone else I agree with the idea of (if I'm reading it correctly) "time out and your given the guy you had highest on your pre-picked list and if you don't have a pre-picked list then it defaults to the highest guy taken in the actual draft".

My comment in post #105 in the other thread was only due to the fact that it seemed like you would be setting yourself up for issues in the future.

While changes are being made is there a way to add a countdown timer to teams that are on the clock? /quickly ducks and runs

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. At maturity, the system would be:

1. You pick or autopick.
2. If you don't have autopick on and you have a draft board, you get the top guy on that list.
3. If none of the above, you get the highest guy left from the NFL draft, regardless of position or need.

We just have to manually do it now and I think I'm screwing it up somehow because I can't get in.

I like the countdown clock. We need to do that.

Except for the countdown clock, I have all this coded to happen automatically now. No need for Rain Man to do it manually! I still need to test some other scenarios, but it looks like it is working as designed. I thought this was going to be difficult to code, but it was pretty easy.

There's a good chance I can have the countdown clock working as well.
