Weekend in KC Activities

I have a buddy taking his wife to KC at the end of the month and he asked me what to do. I really never go down there anymore so I was hoping to lean on the locals for suggestions.

Drinking isn't big for them, so it's not really party atmosphere they're looking for. Good casual food, etc. He said he's looking at staying in Overland Park and may try Minsky's. What else might be cool sights/activities? Is P&L worth it if you aren't partying? Anything else?

Thanks in advance

If it were me, I'd take in this place:

Grab some In A Tub as well. I assume BBQ is a given. I always drive people through the Wornall Rd area to check out all the cool homes and mansions.

Nice, went to Naples and Pompeii a few years ago. The museum in Naples has a lot of stuff from there, including a, uh, interesting room about sex in Pompeii....

No, it's bars and bar/restaurants. College Basketball Experience across the street is good if you like that.

Museums.
