That's just from memory but IIRC, the game is on youtube. I'll have to find it.

Additionally, there are several simple concepts that are 2 reads that look like 1 read plays (Smash, Levels, Shallow Cross, curl/flats).
Either ESPN or NFLN charted every RG3 throw last year. You happened to find one of the very few 3rd read throws he made. There weren't many. There actually weren't a whole lot of 2nd read throws IIRC.

Just remembered. This morning on NFL AM, Eric Davis was all about QB to KC. Only guy I've seen with the balls to call it like it truly is.

Said KC needs to take whomever they decide to be the best QB in this draft. They won't ever get a franchise QB if they don't try. If they pick up A. Smith, there likely won't be a QB for them where they'll pick next year, but there will always be a LT.

Also said that last year's draft plays a huge roll in the attitude towards this year's QB class. Said Geno/Barkley do not grade out much differently than Stafford, Bradford or Matt Ryan types.

He gets it.

Think I'll follow him on twitter.

I've mentioned it before. Eric Davis is actually pretty good. He used to be on the radio and always loved listening to him. That NFL AM show is kind of wonky but he's a good dude and smart football mind.

NFL AM turns a lot of those guys into jokes. Kurt Warner is somebody who isn't always on the money, but he at least thoughtfully considers everything he says. Whenever he's forced to do a bizarre gag, it's incredibly awkward to watch him try to play along.

Yeah, Warner doesn't have a "wacky" bone in his body. It's just weird when they try to rope him into that stuff.

Eric Davis can be pretty funny but the show just isn't. It's weird, campy shit.

I know we on chiefsplanet are hardcore fans and likely analyze the game way different from the casual fan, but it doesn't make sense that they don't see the trend of first round QBs winning the Superbowl and retreads flaming out here. Its like their memories get swiped clean each year.

They don't really process football outside of the Chiefs. They watch, but they don't take the time to comprehend.

Their "memory" is Marty and Arrowhead and parking lots full of BBQ. It was glorious. And it's all they can remember.

and what's the big deal about that?

If anything, our obsession with this team which, at the end of the day means nothing, is probably more pathetic than a bunch of casual fans with lives who miss a competitive team, good atmosphere, and bloody mary's at their BBQ tailgates.

getting mad at "true" fans or "casual" fans is lame...

just because someone doesn't "get" football or cheers blindly no matter what doesn't make them a bad person or bad fan...

they just don't have deep, depressing obsessions like a lot of us on ChiefsPlanet

understandable, really

This is actually a good post.

I think if Alex Smith happens, I'm going to turn into a casual fan.
No more caring. Just BBQ.

I never said I'm "mad" at them.

In many ways, I ENVY them.

I made ridiculous GUARANTEES to my friends (not Chiefs fans) and everyone on facebook and ANYONE WHO WOULD LISTEN the Chiefs would take Geno at #1. I have a lot invested in this.

I run around and call myself the guru to all of my fantasy football buddies so they always look to discredit me...

if Geno goes #1 to the Chiefs it really adds to the legend of the guru...so I really want to see Geno go #1 because I'm really good at the "I told you so's" even in real life and this would be one epic "I told you so" especially after all of the Alex Smith facebook shit I've had to endure from my asshole friends the last 5 days.

Not me. The Kansas City Chiefs are my #1 hobby in life. Lately, I work, I play flag football on Monday's (sprained my knee this past Monday and can't walk; doctor doesn't think I have any torn ligaments though so thank God), and bowling league on Wednesdays.

Other than that, my life is ****ing lame. I work non-stop, hate everyone I work with, get to bowl on Wednesdays and get drunk at a bar with a lot of young hot girls later that night...

but if I didn't have the Chiefs I don't know what I'd do for fun...the Chiefs keep hope alive for me.

maybe I need to grow up and get a girlfriend and start a family but that sounds more awful to me than the Chiefs strutting out Alex Smith and Luke Joeckel next year so I think I'll just stay committed to Chiefs football

For me, it's deeper than that.

I've waited literally the last 20 years to see the Chiefs have the #1 pick and get a QB.

Every year, we were picking too low, our guy was just out of reach, etc. etc.

This is it. We have the #1 pick, nobody can jump us. We CANNOT miss, our guy WILL be there.

If they take a tackle, I just can't be a fan anymore. And while I'm resolute in that, it doesn't change the fact that life won't be the same if I take the Chiefs out of mine.

I have come to view my Chiefs fandom as an addiction, a disease. It's time to quit. I'm too old for this horseshit.
