neighbor dog problem
So, I just moved into a house. The neighbors next to me have a dog that they keep in their backyard. It never goes inside ever. The problem is this dog growls and tries to jump the fence when we're out back. I have no idea what to do about this. Should I talk to the neighbors? Build a taller fence what?

Being outside and being outside 24/7 are different things.
I'm sure there are some exceptions, but if you are just going to keep it outside all day and night, don't get a dog.

I had a similar problem last year. I tried getting to know the dog, had the owner introduce me to the dog, everything, but it didn't work. I had to break it down that they could take care of it or I could, but I'm not getting barked at while standing on my own property (I especially wouldn't tolerate it from a renter). It's now an inside dog.

I have a similar issue. The guy behind me has two border collies, he doesn't leave them out all the time but when they are out they are always barking loudly, and then if they see someone they take it to another level. I can hear those sonsabitches all the way into my basement and his fence is at least forty feet from my house. I built an outdoor porch room on the back of my house a few years back and I can't enjoy being out there when those dogs are out. It's ****ing bullshit and there's not a goddamn thing I can do about it.
