If Dez "three drops and a penalty" Bryant didn't suck dicks every week, I'd have a punchers chance, but when your defacto #1 WR is just awful despite all evidence to the contrary (thanks, Sandbox), you're in trouble. Scifres will bounce back just fine; his was just a bad game. But there are problems from that game that will remain all season.
This game was interesting to me when you started that furious rally.

If one of Ahmad Bradshaw's 3 fumbles bounce your way early in the game it could have been much different (interesting that real Ahmad Bradshaw only had 3 fumbles all last year, and has had all 3 in one game in Sandbox)

But I can't be disappointed with my defensive gameplan at all. It exceeded my wildest expectations.

I'm pretty sure we're seeing each other once more, though, so I'll keep it quiet for now.

Also, CJ Spiller will get a lot more than 15 carries next time.

I checked and these players are all injured in week 13. Their injury charts are correct on the roster page, so you can see when they will be out in future weeks.

Bernard Pierce with one of those rare 20 carry, 20 yard performances.

The Independence -- KC game is a good read. Epic battle for the lead in the Solar Central.

No love lost there with 13 combined penalties. Six of those personal fouls... Ugly rivalry there.

Highlights from Denver's #1 seed clinching win:

Quote:
1st Q 9:46 3rd and 9 Portland 41

C.J. Spiller rushes for 41 yards. Touchdown, conversion
Later, my first 99-yard TD drive of the season!

Quote:
1st Q 3:26 1st and 10 Denver 1 Ahmad Bradshaw rushes for 12 yards.
1st Q 2:44 1st and 10 Denver 13 Tom Brady passes incomplete to Roddy White.
1st Q 2:37 2nd and 10 Denver 13 Ahmad Bradshaw rushes for 11 yards.
1st Q 1:55 1st and 10 Denver 24 Tom Brady passes incomplete to Wes Welker.
1st Q 1:48 2nd and 10 Denver 24 C.J. Spiller rushes for 1 yards.
1st Q 1:06 3rd and 9 Denver 25 C.J. Spiller rushes for 9 yards.
1st Q 0:24 1st and 10 Denver 34 Tom Brady passes complete to C.J. Spiller for a gain of 22 yards.
2nd Q 15:00 1st and 10 Portland 44 Tom Brady passes complete to Ahmad Bradshaw for a gain of 5 yards.
2nd Q 14:15 2nd and 5 Portland 39 Tom Brady passes complete to Torrey Smith for a gain of 8 yards.
2nd Q 13:30 1st and 10 Portland 30 Tom Brady passes complete to Roddy White for a gain of 7 yards.
2nd Q 12:45 2nd and 3 Portland 24 Ahmad Bradshaw rushes for 2 yards.
2nd Q 12:03 3rd and 1 Portland 22 Tom Brady passes complete to Roddy White for a gain of 9 yards. PENALTY. Personal Foul on John Hughes. 6 yards.
2nd Q 11:55 1st and goal Portland 6 Tom Brady passes complete to Roddy White for a gain of 7 yards. Touchdown, conversion

Portland 0, Denver 21
This gem:

Quote:
3rd Q 6:00 2nd and 11 Denver 22

Andrew Luck sacked by Charles Johnson for a loss of -9 yards.

QB fumbled and defense recovered returned for 69 yards.

Touchdown, conversion
And Tom Brady got his groove back.

Now maybe if I tank the Duluth game, Anchorage will miss the playoffs.

Note: Two third-down conversions, 38 offensive points scored.

I committed 5 of those, 3 of them by my WR. Almost cost me the game.

But these short fields continue to kill me. His five TD drives were 52, 65, 27, 32, and 2 yards. That hurts. Fumbles and interceptions.

Was wondering how we shut down Nicks.

Notable notes:

Adrian Peterson - 18 carries, 202 yards, 3 TD

Wichita averaged more yards per rushing attempt than passing attempt this week. Cam Newton struggled, with 197 passing yards on 47 attempts.

"free agent" had 14 catches for 177 yards for Springfield. "Free agent" has had a banner year, catching 59 balls for 626 yards and 2 TD.

Sorry, not trying to be a pest, but I don't know where you are getting your info from. NFL.com and ESPN.com both say that Cecil Shorts had 7 catches for 77 yards and a TD in week 13.
