What I thought last year going in with Geno was that NY was built so crappily that Geno would implode. They went out and revamped everything around him. Switched the system to fit him, brought in CJ2K, signed decker, got rid of the drop machine Stephen Hill, cut loose malcontent Santonio Holmes, drafted Jace Amaro.

For Alex Smith?

NOT A ****ING THING.
Eh, as long as he gets paid, amirite?

Since Smith supports use win loss record in his support, the same should be done for Geno

It will be interesting to see which qb ends up with the better record
Lets see if Smith can get a fumble away from the Superbowl again

Yes, but if you didn't trade those two seconds for Alex Smith and you took Geno #1 overall, you could have:

Branden Albert
Geno Smith
Justin Hunter (taken with our 2013 2nd rounder)
Cody Latimer (taken with our 2014 2nd rounder)

Not signed Bowe to an extension, using that money for Albert instead.

Not signed Alex to an extension, using that money for Houston instead.

Drafted a FS/CB in the first round this year.

ALL OF THESE THINGS were proposed on this message board. This isn't even hindsight. It was what a lot of people wanted.

That's a superior team to what KC has fielded...

The Jets will be competitive.

KC is about to get a huge taste of Hershey's Dark Schlong.

Wrong. Because No one saw Geno Smith being drafted in the second round. NO ONE. I have even admitted several times that if Dorsey, and Reid had any inkling that geno could fall to the second round that they wouldn't of made the Alex Smith trade. And to the Branden Albert thing, once again, Branden Albert was in Miami during the draft negotiating a contract with the dolphins for a sign and trade that was supposed to net the Chiefs a second round pick. The same second round pick that ultimately the dolphins used to trade up with the raiders to get Dion Jordan. This is all revisionist crap. Hell, I can go one further and say we aren't having this discussion today if they had drafted Kelvin Benjamin over Dee Ford.

There's not enough time on that contract to build a super team around Smith.

Verdict:

Cleveland, ho!

Not to mention it's cheaper. And younger. It's the kind of team that you don't mind some early bumps in the road with, because it's going to be fun watching it grow and progress week-to-week.

I don't think their goal is to. I truly think that Alex Smith is a placeholder.

I told you that last year. No one was listening. while I was telling you that Alex smith wasn't the future, he was just the present, everyone with their panties tied in bunches were going full reerun.
