Mychal Kendricks

A source told Philly Voice's Jimmy Kempski that the Eagles are indeed likely to trade SLB Mychal Kendricks.

Kempski previously strongly speculated Kendricks would be moved, and he now has a source confirming it. Kendricks regressed into a lightly used sub-package linebacker under first-year DC Jim Schwartz, playing fewer snaps than both MLB Jordan Hicks and WLB Nigel Bradham. If the Eagles can't find a taker for the remainder of Kendricks' five-year, $30 million deal, Kempski believes they may designate him a post-June 1 cut, freeing up $5 million in cap room. The Eagles would likely be willing to deal Kendricks for a mid- to late-round pick.

I dont see them tagging Berry again, unfortunately, if they do I think its for a trade scenario.
This draft is deep in DBs, Im not sure I would spend a truck load on him, as much as I love Berry.

This team stuck with him during his cancer scare, paid him through the whole thing. I would hope that earns them some consideration when negotiating but who knows.

Would love to see Berry stay but not at the expense of improving the team in other areas. We have some serious holes to fill.

That's 29 million worth of guys we can replace with draft picks.
They aren't dumping Colquitt and Foles is coming back but probably not at 11 mill. They will also probably bring Berry and Poe back. There's not much money left.

Than the Chiefs are gonna be in great cap shape next year.

No way he sits out with completely unrestricted FA looming. It's all posturing.

If they bring back Foles and Alex at a combined 28m in cap hits, that's just mind bottling.

But there are 52 other guys on the team to evaluate from a fan perspective but this has become almost impossible on CP because too many people seem to think that those other 52 don't even matter without a change at QB and/or HC.

It is just getting old to not be able to have these other discussions.
No shit. It's ridiculous to suggest that trying to fill other roster spots is a waste of time. You can have the best QB in the league, but if you surround him with garbage he's not gonna win anyway.

Kendricks would be a nice get at ILB. His contract isn't outrageous and it probably won't take that much to get him. Chiefs have been trying to fill out the ILB on the cheap for a few years. Need to keep on it.

Colquitt needs to have an extension to drop his number not released.Foles either needs to redo his deal as well. It is tough to have your primary backup be a rookie unless it is a top prospect and the Chiefs history has me doubting that will be the case.

I think some team is going to give that guy at least $10 million a year.

Let Foles go, period. Have Bray be the #2 and get a 2nd/3rd round QB. Jah Reid can go as well. Restructure Charles and Colquitt. There's a lot of JAGs that can be replaced by our draft picks.

We have a lot of room to maneuver some cap space

Several guys are ideal for a cut or restructure, and a few others can be dumped w/ little lost and tons to gain

I am totally on board with a later round pick for kendricks. that frees up all kinds of options in the draft, making only depth ILB an "upgrade need", which, isn't it always? then we can be looking QB, CB, OLB early, interior and exterior swing OL, NT and S later in the draft. This assumes imo we do resign Berry but Poe walks.
