The Best Thing I Ever Ate

This is one my favorite TV shows that frequently comes on Food Network. So, just like the show what is the one meal/dessert/snack etc etc that you have ever ate. Maybe one day somebody can use this thread when out of town.

The best thing I ever ate was the New Mexican Spiced Rubbed Pork Tenderloin at Mesa Grill inside Caesars Palace. It is owned by Bobby Flay and it is hands down the best dish I've had. If you're in Vegas this is a must try.

Had dinner at Guy Savoy's 3 star in Paris last year. Superlatives do not do it justice. I'd go back just for that meal. Best meal I ever ate and nothing else comes close.

That is an underappreciated virtue of the microwave.

If I don't want my pork overcooked, but I still want it safe to eat. I sear, then cook until just pink, then microwave for 30 seconds or so to raise the interior temp appropriately at the end.

Use a sous vide. Impossible to overlook. Tremendous results if you use it correctly.

my mom used to make something she called bean burgers. it was ground beef and green peppers and pork and beans over shipleys bread open faced. that is my best meal. i got her recipe and still make it.

the most memorable meal that i have had is at V's in independence. there was a guy named dave in the kitchen and he made a batch of dumplings in a broth that kicked allthe boxes. it wasnt italian but it wasnt asian either.

Probably the best meal I had was at my grandpas. He got some steaks and cooked them really nicely. Baked potatoes corn green beans rolls. Normal stuff.

I've had equally good meat. Prepared just as well. Hell I've probably kicked out just as good of steak and just as good of meat. I've had better sides but for whatever reason, that meal was amazing. Just amazing. I don't know what it was, I must have been craving it bad or something but it was really really good. It just hit what I needed.

In terms of best food I'd probably say some sausage from Jack Stack.

I've kicked out some really good steaks. I've smoked up some good ribs. So that covers what I've cooked.

But that one time in several that grandpa grilled steaks sticks with me.
