If the NFL is rigged...isn't Andy vs the Eagles the best storyline?

Stars seem to be aligning in our favor if indeed the league is fixed.

What say you, BlackOp?

Despite his stats he was good enough to get drafted and win a bunch of NFL games and that playoff gm. He beat us in a gm when he completed 2 passes so if the NFL wanted him in the league they'd make it happen.

Also, you clearly don't know what rigged means. If NFL rigged games they could do whatever they want. It's not rigged. This is just an excuse fans like to use when their favorite teams lose.

A lot of NFL fans have a million excuses when the team loses 'we played a couple games in a row' '_____ was injured. if we had him we win!' 'the game is rigged' 'the refs are out to get us' 'The Patriots cheat that is the only reason they win!'

Lol... Maybe, just maybe, teams lose games because the other team played better. Stop it with the conspiracy theories. Excuses are for losers..

The CHI QB tebowed his team to a win on Sunday.

It was miracle... God definitely had Tebows back that season. Some of those wins you guys got that season were mind boggling.. Including the gm against us when Tebow went 2/8 for 69 yds and you guys won.. Smh...

I'm sure this question has been addressed before, but I must have missed it:

If the NFL is rigged, wouldn't someone have come forward by now? I mean, consider how many people would have to be in the loop to pull it off. Even if it was only one ref on each officiating crew, when you consider the number of officiating crews over the last 25 or so years, someone at some point would have said something.

You could probably pay off (or otherwise ensure the silence of) just a few people. But the more people who are in on something, the greater the chance that someone, somewhere, will leak the information. Eventually, if enough people know about it, it is pretty much all but certain that somebody is going to let the cat out of the bag.

So, if the NFL is rigged, how come nobody has come forward and published a tell-all memoir?

This is a sincere question for the conspiracy theorists. I'm not making fun of them or their beliefs. I'm genuinely curious as to how they address this matter.

Exactly..

On a side note to the conspiracy theorists... Was 9/11 done by Osama Bin Laden or Bush and the USA government?

The team rallied, no doubt. The defense played off the charts because they bought in and believed. Leaders inspire, right? That’s what he did and they won, not because of what he did so much, but what he didn’t do. Lightning in a bottle. The OT pass was a once in a lifetime moment and on par with what he was known for doing.

I don't know... I mean, I would actually *like* to believe that it's rigged. Then I could finish walking away from this team completely (something I have already done in large part, as I've noted in other threads).

But it just doesn't sit right. I do believe that on occasion an individual ref has an interest in swaying a game. Maybe he is being threatened or payed off by the mob or something.

But to believe that there is a league-wide conspiracy, and yet nobody at all has come forward to talk about it, I think that's just too much to swallow.

*shrug* Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe in 15 years people will be coming out of the woodwork to confirm the theory. But until that happens, to me it just seems to be too implausible to think that this many people would keep quiet about it.

Think about it: the first person who broke this story with a tell-all interview or book would have instant fame. To some of these refs (who are not millionaires like the owners are), that would be too strong of a pull. Especially once they retire and they don't have any motivation for keeping the secret any longer.

You seem to not recognize that in order to successfully rig something you can't make it blatantly obvious. A guy who either can't play in the league, or brings too much baggage that teams don't want to employee them, would make it obvious if they were sustaining success. And no, I don't think the league is rigged, but Tebow as an example of it not being rigged is just dumb.

So basically you are saying it was blatantly obvious the league was rigged during the Broncos 2011 season because he did have sustained success. He started for them multiple times and won a playoff gm.

It's not dumb to post what I did about Tebow even Mile High Mania who is a Bronco fan who gets a ton of respect on a CHIEFS board agreed with me.

Whatever you say though.. Doesn't really matter about Tebow point is league is not rigged... Some fans are just idiots who can't deal when their NFL team loses and want to downplay other teams successes...

Just one more opinion, PA, and I have said it before.

I don't think games are locked-in rigged.
I do think many games can be (and are) forcefully pushed.. deliberately.. in favor of one team or another for whatever particular League agenda at play.

Some teams have a strong enough game to thumb their nose at the officiating.. winning anyway.. but it's a seldom accomplishment. It's becoming more and more obvious.. eye-rolling.. and slowly killing any chance of viewing the NFL as anything more than an occasional bit of mindless entertainment.

No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying the league was never rigged and using Tebow as an example is a dumb way to try and make that point. The NFL can't make him successful over a career. Rex Grossman won an NFC Championship. Sometimes shitty QB's get surrounded by enough talent for them to win a lot of games for a short period time.
