Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)
A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.

A few quick ground rules:
  • No Spoilers!!!!! for upcoming episodes.
  • Larger Song of Ice and Fire discussion should be limited to the other thread although I think a tiny bit of book delving to fill in holes should be okay (example of this would be talking about Catelyn and her treatment of the wolves in the novel, which was alluded to on TV but never really made clear...)
  • Everything that happened that week is fair game once an episode airs. So if you don't watch on Sunday night, I'd stay outta here until you do...

I thought this too. The "I have your whore" scene was outstanding - he conveyed so much through the tiniest changes in his facial expressions. You could see what he was thinking even several layers deep. It was amazing.

He's like when Tom Hanks just kept putting out Oscar movie after Oscar movie. Eventually, they couldn't even nominate him for Apollo 13, because they wanted to give the other actors a chance.

They had to figure no one suspected they would kill two Starks OFFSCREEN. Plus, the perfect little shot of the two boys running through the scene was enough to verify.

I think the end still worked, because the reveal wasn't that the boys were alive, but that Bran was awake, and aware, and will likely forever be haunted by the guilt that they caused those other kids' death.

That scene was great. I wonder who told Cersei she was Shea? If it was Varys...why would he lie to Cersei?

Also, I wonder if that girl realizes what she got herself into. If it comes down to it and Cersei threatens to kill her, Tyrion will sacrifice her instead of Shea...

Haha, yeah, Arya's shrug made me laugh out loud. She's one of my favorite characters also, and the actress playing her is perfect for the role (a little older than book Arya, but that actually works better I think).
