I want Johnny Manziel to succeed just because it would be refreshing to see a player not apologize for being who he is. All this pandering to the media, making sure people see you and take photos of you kissing a baby. It's all bullshit. At least Manziel isn't doesn't hide it. Good for him.

I know they have totally different play styles but is his size really that different from Russell Wilson or Drew Brees? Or Dexter McCluster? Or DAT? Or Dri Archer? Or Jamaal Charles? |

I still believe Johnny Football will make it, Its hard as a rookie to start your first game against a team looking to make a deep playoff run.

Why is it so hard to believe that I simply think our quarterback is a below average player? Why do I have to be a 9er fan to think that? |

Johnny will get it figured out. He went up against a tough Bengals D yesterday. From what I saw yesterday he was too ancy in the pocket, simply trying to do too much. Footwork wasnt good either. He's got two road games left against the Panthers and Ravens. Two teams looking for playoff spots. If he struggles as he did against Cincy against those two teams then Cleveland should be worried.

Johnny Manziel easily had more talent around him.

Supposedly Indy was having a tough time deciding between Manning and Leaf. It came down to the final question of, "What's the first thing you'd do if we signed you?"
Manning said he'd ask for the playbook so he could get started. Leaf said he'd take his buddies to Vegas. Manziel is Leaf. With more douchebag and less talent. |

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/12/...arterback-2015 Johnny Manziel's future with Browns in doubt To say the beginning of Johnny Manziel's NFL career has been underwhelming would be an understatement. He started just two games, lost both, tossed two interceptions with no touchdowns and ended the year on injured reserve. Now, less than eight months after he was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, his future with the team could be in doubt. Manziel fueled the Browns' frustrations by missing treatment for his hamstring injury Saturday, which drew a fine from the team. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Manziel threw a party Friday night and the Browns had to send security personnel to Manziel's house to find him after he didn't show up at the facility, as required, and wouldn't answer calls. That party is also believed to be the reason why wide receiver Josh Gordon received a suspension for missing the team's walkthrough Saturday. In addition to the disciplinary behaviors handed down to Manziel and Gordon, Cleveland also declared rookie cornerback Justin Gilbert as inactive for Week 17 Sunday morning after he was late to a team meeting on Saturday night, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The behavior of Manziel doesn't help the fact that his struggles on the field have warranted some concerns in the Browns' front office. On Sunday, ESPN's Chris Mortensen said on Sunday NFL Countdown that the Browns are still searching for a quarterback of the future. Browns' owner Jimmy Haslam is determined to find a "top-15" quarterback for the team and recognizes Manziel might not be that player after only one season. Replacing Manziel in the 2015 NFL Draft could depend on the options available to the Browns. With a loss Sunday, Cleveland could land a top-10 draft pick and is also the owner of the first-round selection of the Buffalo Bills, which is guaranteed to be in the top 20. |
