Underground Poker

If you liked "Goodfellas" or "Jersey Shore" should be worth a look.

I'm very dissatisfied here...

First, I thought this was a thread announcing a venue for underground poker. Now I has a sad.

Secondly, putting "Goodfellas" in the same sentence as "Jersey Shore"? WTF, Otter?!

Lastly, yeah, I might check it out.

I too was hoping for a list of underground poker venues.

Come on. That was the perfect combination of Jersey Shore and Goodfellas. I stand by my statement.

I played poker with a guy nicknamed, Lunchbox. I wouldn't go down that road if I were you.

I know right? That's my first thought, a real crime organization isn't going to have their business broadcasted on TV. Get outta here...

When are you allowed to leave the table? Let's say I sat down for 15 hands won $6k and decided to leave, is that OK?

Why are the guys who are up still sitting there at 4am and 5 hours later? Are you not allowed to leave because if I hit $6k I'm shaking hands, leaving and going to get a good burger and a beer.

That's fine. Just don't plan on getting invited back.

Yeah, I probably would be very good at any of that stuff. I play Texas Holdem online with a happy hour crowd every blue moon at a local pub and all I do is piss people off because I'm talking and not paying attention when it's my turn.

Pretty sure I have selective ADD and playing cards brings it out big time.

I can't believe I clicked on that and watched the entire show. It was pretty interesting.

I host a monthly Texas Hold'Em tournament in my basement, but our stakes are just a bit smaller than what those guys play for. We have a $20 buy-in.

I won $80 in the first home game I ever played. It was me and the host heads-up. I had a pretty good chip-lead on him and it was getting late, so he pushed all-in before the flop. I glanced up at him and hesitated on the call, then finally said, "oh, alright... call". He flipped over his cards, then I flipped over mine.

Him: K-rag
Me: Pocket Aces

That poor bastard. But, with him being the host, I did give him a cut.

Exactly. Read the story I just posted. The only reason I didn't leave right after that KK hand was because I didn't want to get shanked. I knew I had to play for 5 hours, minimum.

Enrique left shortly after. I think he was pissed.

It's definitely not OK. You could obviously do that in a casino, but if you tried to do that in an underground game, my guess is that you'd walk out of there with no money and with the shit kicked out of you.
