**** Official North Carolina vs Kansas Game Thread ****

Game time: 4:20pm CST.
As a KU fan I have no ill will toward Roy. At the same time, I hope KU demolishes UNC today.

Here is a part of Roy's press conference. I still admire the guy and his respect for KU hoops.

I'm pretty nervous about Michigan...

McLemore is going to have to man up and be an adult.

I hear ya.....but I didnt like the bullsh*t. The first opportunity, he said "I couldnt look those guys I recruited in the face if I didnt stay".

But then later, those "other guys" you recruited, it was 'ok'?

Look, I get why he did it.....just dont BS people about it, trying your hardest to be the nice guy.

Nope. UNC was a pretty meh team this year, but got it together sort of at the end.

Michigan is one of the best scoring teams in the nation with the best PG. Florida is a beast squad and is currently the Vegas favorite to win the region. It won't be easy; but that's OK. That's what you build a team full of seniors for. That's what you preach defense for. To win those tough games.

Let's all hope Ben finds his stroke or Michigan could be the end of the road.

KU had GREAT second half...Props to Withey and Releford..They're the 2 that really got KU back in the game...I think Ben Mac should stick around...He needs to learn how to be a better all around player...He is great at home games, but pretty much sucks away from home...JMO

I agree 100%. I duno how we will do against Michigan...but I didn't like our chances going to OSU earlier this season. You never know....

I am worried that Ben's psyche may be a bit jarred after this game, and that he got benched. I can see him disappearing, continuing to contribute 0 to this team.

And as for the tough road to the final 4....I can't imagine that fans of any of those schools want to play us, either.

Certainly. It's not like Roy was here for a season or two, he was here for over a decade. He was huge when he was here.

I'm still a little bitter about the way he left.

I don't want to destroy his confidence or anything, but I do wonder if having him come off the bench for a game wouldn't be the best thing.

The guy just has no confidence. He's not playing within himself. He's out of sync. Coming off the bench might get him to just focus on being a great contributor and a positive injection to the team instead of a star that the team really depends on.

I see McLemore and I see a guy who needs another year. I don't see the world domination and acts that elicit the ball stroking that the announcers give him. He disappears.

Just got back from the game. What a great win. Releford and Withey were absolutely monsters. Great atmosphere, and Bill Self is a God.

Sat next to some Ole Miss fans and as we were leaving, they said that KU has the best fans they've ever experienced. Said they were literally blown away.

What a great day.

I agree. The biggest problem on this team though, isn't Mclemore, it's turnovers. Specifically Elijah. If we can limit our turnovers, we can beat about anybody.
