I thought Assassin's Creed: Unity was pretty boring. The story anyway...
Couldn't hold a candle to any of the games with Ezio, that's for sure. |

Planetside 2 beta is coming to the PS4 soon. SoE sent the client to PSN. Its a free to play game, but you can subscribe. its not play to win either. Yuu cant just buy your way to better weapons. You can earn certs (aka in game money) faster then free to play players. The only tyhing you can purchase is cosmetic items. helmets and camo for your gear.
I dont know how many have played it, but its Call of Duty on crack. There are 3 factions per map and the Maps are HUGE. i dont know what the cap per map is, but on PC you can have huge 100/100/100 battles, probably more then that maybe even 200/200/200 lol its insane. THere is also 5 kind of vehicles Tanks included. Air Vehicles as well. Its pretty damned fun. |

Farcry 4 - 1st impressions
I was going to let you all know about GTAV for next gen before I went and bought this game. However, I thought it might be more important to go ahead and give you my first impressions on Farcry 4...
This ****ing game is an absolute 180 from ubisofts normal bullshit, (so far). I've been thrusted into a Tibetan world of violence and terroism all in first person. It's been an absolute WTF is going on so far for a guy who's only experienced a little of Farcry. Christ, what do I do? Jump in a one-man, mail-order helicopter? Drive a hovercraft? Kill a tiger or get my ass kicked by a bunch of wolves, maybe? It's been a wild ride so far and I'm completely lost with where or what I need to do. I know there's a main storyline but every time I try to get there, I get my ass kicked by an elephant. This game is full chaos wrapped up in a neat little box. I'm not sure what's next but I'll bet it's entertaining. One thing I'll definitely give this game so far is that it's gorgeous. The graphics are definitely next gen. |

Everyone is moving away from that. IT was my favorite thing about gaming. Being able to sit on the couch with my son and blow shit up. I miss that.

I'm enjoying it so far. It can be very difficult and frustrating at times. I just did a level in the arena that was kinda cool. Leveling up your health, weapon speed and takedowns is a must. It takes a while to get used to the mechanics when taking down multiple enemies at once via stealth. |

Grand Theft Auto V - Next Gen - PS4
I'm a little conflicted here. Do I score this game on its own merits or do I score it in contrast to the original release? I guess I'll do both here.
Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most stunning, entertaining, intricate games I've ever played. It is a complete 180 from four, which I found good but boring at times. If you've been in a coma for the last year or so, here's the story... For the first time in this series, you can play as three different characters, Michael, Franklin or Trevor. Michael is a middle-aged retired thief, currently living in witness protection in sunny souther California. He's nurotic, self loathing and violent. He's supposedly a 'Tony Soprano' clone. Franklin is a young black male trying to get out of the "hood" and away from the gang lifestyle by becoming a professional criminal. Then you have Trevor. An extremely violent, middle-aged man that pedals meth from his trailer park. All three of these characters work together for a common goal, money. They get involved with several different people/agencies on their way to the heist of a lifetime. The story is good, even great at times. The main storyline can take you up to 30 hours to complete. The map is massive and basically takes up the entire state of California. (Called San Andreas in the GTA world) The gameplay is wonderful, the story is good and the detail they put into this game is very impressive. I can't say enough about the level of detail and the beautiful scenery in this game. If you've never played it, I recommend you remedy that ASAP either on next Gen or current. My only real complaint here is a common one. You just don't get attached to the characters as much as I'd like. The only one I really liked was Trevor and he's a psychopath. This game is just about perfect. A little mundane at times but compared to GTA 4, it's back to its roots and a great experience. Now then, if you're one of the millions of people that want to trade in your current copy for next gen, don't bother. At least wait for a price drop. The graphics really aren't that much better. Yaay, you get longer grass and a few more cars to **** up. Or maybe the really big selling point... First Person! Honestly? Who gives a shit? Driving a car is much harder that way, melee combat is exceedingly difficult and you lose that sense of detachment that comes with Grand Theft Auto. You're no longer pushing a storyline and watching a character do something, you're living it and that's just kinda weird. Yes, new storylines are coming out for next gen soon but it's not really worth the $$. The multiplayer works a little better I suppose but that's not why we play the game. All in all this game scores a solid 9. Buy it if you haven't already; but don't waste your cash on an upgrade for a while. Go grab Farcry 4 instead. If you are getting a PS4 with the GTAV/TLOU bundle, that's awesome. GTAV as a standalone - 9 (It's very entertaining) The upgraded version trade in - MEH (wait a while) |

I just Ordered ZombieU for the WiiU, people seem to love the game and cant beat it for 15 bucks! Just waiting for that amazon Friday or Monday!
I bought Super Smash Bros U. I never played a Smash game in my life, Game is a blast, and im learning how to play, but its super fast paced. I might be a bit old for the speed of this kind of game. |

I've actually considered a second PS4 just for that reason.
