You have to take Barkley 1st Cuz the qbs are a crapshoot. You can get anyone at 4. Don’t trade down cuz that bit them in the butt the last 2 years

It’ll be a QB, and will be the right one. Because Dorsey is awesome.

the browns NEED to be drafting the top two quarterbacks available. and sign jamaal charles.
because the browns have proven they need as many fall back options every year. if it weren't so nonsensical to suggest, i would recommend they draft a qb with every pick. |

The drop off of talent with rb by round still is less than other positions. What you are saying is true but I still think you can find good rb's like Hunt and Kamara in the 3rd. Compare that to how hard it is to find other positions consistently in the 3rd.

They have to take the QB they like best.
I have a hard time seeing the Giants passing on a QB, or the Colts taking Barkley. They need defense so bad... |

Also, Dorsey could move back into 2 slot from 4 for not too much I’d be willing to bet if he liked Barkley enough.

I just have a hard time seeing a running back go first overall. But maybe I'm wrong. But we all laugh at Jerry Jones for taking Zeke and that turned out good for them, so who knows? I think that Sam Darnold is clearly a step above the rest of the top 4 quarterbacks. You take Barkley, you miss on Darnold at 4. Would you rather have Barkley and settle for Allen at 4 or would you rather take Darnold and either BPA, which could still be Barkley, or a trade down at 4, which will likely be in high demand? I take option B.

You are correct that the pendulum has swung back the other way and primarily because the running back has now been incorporated heavily in the dominated pass offense of the NFL. And when you have elite talents like Barkley who check all the boxes you have to go with him first especially when you have the number four pick overall as well to get your quarterback.

Take Barkley at #1 overall and the best available QB at #4. Or, take Barkley at #1 overall and trade the #4 overall for more picks, then take your QB. |

IF he really wants Barkley, and they don’t believe he will be there at #4, he should take him at #1. They could still get their QB at #4. Plus, drafting a RB #1 will be a lot cheaper contract wise, than taking a QB at #1, which will help with the Browns cap down the road (something we all know too well that Dorsey struggles with).

I guess it depends on how highly Dorsey values each of the 4 quarterbacks. If he's got one clear cut quarertback worthy of a top 5 pick and the rest are way down the list, then you take the quarterback. But, if he has 2 or more that he would take, then take quarterback at 4 instead.

There are no elite QBs this year. Funny after all the hype last year
