The shotgun with 00 buck 50-60 yards for accuracy, but the buck will also kill at a greater distance than that. The revolver will have the greater range, but most people can't hit anything with a revolver. A revolver or pistol is designed more for close quarter shooting. Unless a person has some regular practice with one, good luck on hitting anything over 20-25 yards max.

The OP said " A sawed-off shotgun ".... I think that makes a difference.. A sawed off shotgun is a close quarters weapon...
I think if SR has some patience and maybe find some where to hide he may pull this off.... If he can get Bowser to waste some shots from a distance....
Ok I've talked myself into it....sorry buddy....voting for SR...

It would depend on what the term sawed off means, what length? Granted the shorter the barrel, the more the shot is going to spread out, but your still talking a minimum of eight (Depending on if the round is 2 3/4, 3" or 3 1/2") .38 caliber balls of doom heading out of the 12 gauge.

I have no idea what SR's experience is with a revolver, hell, perhaps he's the Chuck Norris of handguns? I was assuming that both of them had equal experience with firearms.

Hard to say. Too many unknowns. How far is it sawed off, single shot, double barrel, shooting slugs, 00, birdshot?
How long is the 45?
So many variables.

Yeah, in the end you gotta go with the shotgun.

Right. And Bowser would probably be too busy scheming on how to send me more Squirmin Herman Mother****ing Sack of **** Edwards memorabilia. Whereas SR is far too nice for any of that noise.

Edge to SR.

Bowser wins if he can close the distance to 0 to 30 yards.

Simply wins if he has any competence with a hand gun at 40yards and below.
