Conservative commentators with actual insight

This is coming from a liberal. Can you all point to some commentators I can actually stomach? I don't want to hear hyperbole about how obama was a racist communist who wanted to destroy america. I don't want to hear talking points that I've heard countless times.

I saw a video from a conservative that was well-researched, devoid of faulty logic and ad hominems. It was a breath of fresh air (no, he's not paying me)

Bring me more videos and articles like this one. Maybe you'll convert some of us communists.

Your response to my response, also, was not a repudiation of that claim, but your usual "if you knew what this genius actually meant to say, which I assure you is completely different, you'd find it reasonable."

OP can take my recommendation, sincerely offered, listen for himself, and decide. Or he can ignore it as he appears to have based on his own level of judgment. Further, I invite him to keep your critique firmly in mind as he listens and actively evaluate its merit.

Peterson makes salient points that are well researched, logical and provide useful insight into the dynamics of partisan decisionmaking. That is what the OP asked for, and that was my suggestion.

I will note that your paraphrase of Peterson's remark has morphed and escalated every time you reference it, which suggests even you realize that you are overstating the criticism.

There's only one name: Rush Limbaugh. He is the entirety of conservatism and has been for 35 years, with a massive audience. He is not "fringe" in the least unless you consider 1/2 the country "fringe" in which case, this thread is pointless.

If you don't like him (or stomach him, in your words), you don't like conservatism. But he is the "summary page" of the entire movement.

You comprehensively failed the OP with that suggestion. Jordan Peterson trips every alarm the OP warned against.

Sorry.

You know, and everyone knows you know, that your criticism stems more from a desire to discourage people from consuming persuasive criticism of your own ideology than a desire to save people from consuming actually bad or malign thought.

And I'm not going to get into a pissing match parsing every soundbyte you wish to distort and demagogue. There's more than plenty for people to watch and listen to for themselves that is first-person and unedited, without interlocutors.

That's an important point that I elided on first pass.

Neither Haidt nor Peterson are conservative or liberal. Both are coming from a psychodynamic perspective. Peterson is more strident against collectivism and authoritarianism, and Haidt is more comprehensive and abstract in explaining the mechanics of decisionmaking for a broad range of partisan stripes. But neither are solidly conservative.

Goldberg is conservative by nature and disposition and defends it from the philosophical perspective.

Ok...Jordan Peterson isn't terrible when tackling the low hanging fruit of political correctness and feminism, but I've heard him argue against atheism as if he's never heard of "god of the gaps" and equates atheism with nihilism. His Prager U videos are consistently filled with horrible arguments. I've heard enough of him.

Just go to youtube and type in Ben Shapiro

The guy is a fast talking encyclopedia of political and economic stats and facts.

Peterson is too long winded. Shapiro gets to the point and doesn't waste time.

I apologize, I didn't realize 'conciliatory to atheism' was a parameter of your initial request.

My response was solely regarding insightfulness into the contemporary American partisan divide.

At baby lee: Fair enough, I just didn't respect his methods of debating religion...at all. Maybe he's only a selective retard.
