CNN suddenly wants to be treated with civility???

This is just precious......

Quote:
During a live shot in the next hour, Acosta decried the lack of civility by these Trump supporters and highlighted a woman who had heckled him. Responding to her calls for CNN to pack up and leave, he asserted like a true firefighter that “we are here to do our jobs.”
Quote:
Fast-forward exactly an hour later and Acosta was peeved that he had gotten a taste of his own medicine: “With all of this talk of civility, Wolf, I can tell you not all of the people in this crowd...treated us with that level of civility that we all think that Americans should be entitled to across this country.”

Is CNN quick to point out his failings. Yes, they are. Again, that said - they aren't making things up.

All of the above are quick to retract when they have made a mistake.

Additionally, it is interesting in one of Mueller's recent filings that he calls out these entities for bad reporting. So, yes they make mistakes.
We're talking about different three things, best to keep them separate.

1. The level of civility in journalist interaction and reportage.

2. The level of accuracy in factual declarations

3. The level of insertion of opinion into the dissemination of facts.

If you would, provide your assessment of the level of appropriate journalistic practice presently displayed for each separately. Or if you are only willing to talk about one or another, delineate which you are referring to.

It worked for FOX...

However, I am genuinely disturbed by the trend there and elsewhere, but it seems it's going to get worse before it gets better.

CNN does neither of those things. When they retract, they do it on a webpage buried on their site, or in a 10 sec blurb at the end of a program. They don't pull bad tweets until they have been re-tweeted to hundreds of thousands of others, but their "retractions" never make nearly that far.

Something your media heroes and the people they obviously champion need to put in practice for themselves.

CNN is so highly regarded that none of their shows even cracks the top 25 in total viewer and barely scratch the top 15 in the 25-54 age group.

If I had nothing else to do, I'd follow Acosta around and heckle him "All day" until he snapped on camera and leaped into traffic.

The president has the Bully Pulpit and the First Amendment right to criticize political speech of the press. He's a counter-puncher. But the answer to speech you don't like, for whatever reason—unfair, untruthful is more free speech.

At this point, I think it is beyond mere mistakes. Our msm operates as a cartel.

Jill Abramson, Ex-New York Times Editor: The ‘Narcissistic’ NYT Is Making ‘Horrible Mistakes,’ Needs a ‘Course Correction’
Quote:
I’m feeling about the NYT now like I did when my son cheated on a test in 10th grade,” she wrote. “I loved him to death, believed he was a thoroughly wonderful young man, but he needed a course correction. So I left my desk at The NYT, where I was DC [Bureau] Chief, met his school bus and read him the riot act. He needed a course correction.

“So does the NYT… it’s making horrible mistakes left and right.

Then why do you call them the MSM, when Fox has a higher viewership?
