I had the 4th pick in my league and took him. I figure I'll either have a kickass fantasy season, or for $65 sabotage the Donkey's season.
Win, win.

If you only start one RB....why not get one of the top 4 and never have to worry about it. Yeah...you could get someone like Bell (who might now be suspended), Ball or Foster...but they aren't going to be tops at their position. Like it was said earlier....I'd rather have Rodgers or Brees over Manning. He won't be throwing up another 50+ TD season this year.

If you could guarantee yourself Ball then I'd take Peyton. This will be the only year Ball will be drafted outside the top 8. And it sucks to say that :/

Having passing TDs worth 6 isn't as dramatic a difference as most people assume. Peyton will put up more points, but so will other QBs. Compared to a 4pptd league, if Peyton goes off and throws for 5 TDs, that's only 4 more points than a 3 TD game from some other QB you could have gotten much much later.

Unless you're playing with Hootie in a 2 QB league, you shouldn't be taking a QB in the first round, much less the first pick.

I've been in this league for over 5 years and every year there are at least 6 QBs gone in the first two rounds. I've never done it but am very tempted this year. |

And btw, most of the guys I know that won the league last year with Peyton got him in the 2nd/3rd, which means they had 1 or 2 stars at other positions.
