FWIW I'm seeing that the competition committee is suggesting making it illegal to jump over the center to try to block field goals or PATs.

And they are also suggesting having referees becoming full time employees.

How are they holding guys accountable for "judgment" calls??? The rules are so shitty that any game can (and definitely has) be influenced by selective enforcement.

Oh for Asterisk...The Tuck Rule being the biggest crock of shit call in any sport.

You can cut the center down and then what? A blocker would get hit in the back with the ball. A player can't run around the edge fast enough to block the guy so what exactly do you do?

There is a rule in place already that protects the Center.

You can't chuck the center
You can't have a guy line up over the center
You can't hold the center's head down so he can't lift up and block the jumper

The Oline will adjust

As soon as the Oline starts reaching up and grabbing a leg so that the leaper face plants on nation television, the jumpers will start being much more cautious.
