Designated Survivor

Keifer Sutherland's next TV series

On the night of the State of the Union address, an explosion claims the lives of the President of the United States and all present members of the Cabinet. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Tom Kirkman, who was named the designated survivor, is immediately sworn in and struggles to prevent America from falling into chaos, unaware that the attack is only the beginning of what is to come.

Now, it’s about politics, passing some bill. Personal drama issues with the staff etc. it’s lost it’s way and is off the tracks.
To be honest, I expected this to be a one or two season show tops. The entire premise is gone after that because it just becomes another political drama.

Basically the “For Dummies” version of West Wing.

Thats why Homeland still works. They find new really bad guys to go after. Looks like this year its the Russians.

But this show, boring political intrigue. Surely someone is telling them this? Why should we care about some new guy on the show got 2nd place in band camp in his youth??? Trying to throw in in some "This is us"? Really?!!??? WTF, blown chance.

Keifer deserves better material. I hate ‘play it safe’ network TV. Get Keifer a cable tv series next.
