Cheap Vegas packages?

Anyone know of a good site to package flight + hotel accomodations?

Planning a trip in fall of 2013 with the girlfriend.

Any help is appreciated.

I hear you there. When we go to Vegas we drive even though flights from here (Phoenix) are dirt cheap. About a 4.5 hour drive, cool to drive over the dam, much more relaxing than the airport.

Just been thinking about Vegas the past 3-4 months. It's all I can think about and last time I was there I really didn't do a whole lot because my friends were there for a work convention.
What is your budget like?

If you are looking to stay downtown, Priceline is the way to go. The Golden Nugget is the only 4-star property there, so if your bid is accepted, then you are getting the GN. Like I said, I got 3 nights at $65 per night. So $195 total pre tax/fees where it would normally cost $277.

If I lived that close, I'd be driving too.

That's kind of up in the air.

Right now -- I've gotten quotes from Allegiant Air (I know prices fluctuate) for around $220 round trip. I'm thinking I'll book the flight and hotel seperately.

I'd prefer to stay on the new strip as opposed to the old strip. However, depending on the prices, I wouldn't rule out staying in the old strip.

Planning a Vegas trip a year ahead of time will give you lots of time to set things up. Carlotta and Dartgod can give you some good scoop.
I did have to chuckle a bit, probably 75% of the times I've gone to Vegas it was planned that same day or the night before.

I hear that. I've been to Vegas like 15 times and never stayed downtown.

given your schedule, I would work on getting credit card sign up bonuses, if that's an option. Southwest has a card right now that gives you 2 free tickets for signing up. AA always has good offers. Figure out what hotel you'd like to stay at and get a card giving points. There's a couple of great Hilton cards these days.

Oh, since you have a lot of time to plan, go to every casino's web site and sign up with your email address. I get stuff from them all the time with specials.

My wife and I love the Nugget. Great pool area (sharks AND a slide? Win), class casino. Posting the latest e0mail for Cjizzles...

I've been none to be quite a "planner."

I do this because I just want it to be right.

I wish I was spontaneous and had deep enough pockets to plan to go the night before or of.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. I have players cards at most of the casinos but never spent much time downtown, so don't really get any great deals there. The Nugget was the only place I really wanted to stay, so I was thrilled to get it at that price.

Good on you for planning; my dad would shake your hand.

It isn't a matter of deep pockets so much as it is a matter of me living within a 5 hour drive of the place. First time I did a last-minute Vegas trip I was a grad student in Denver. We drove all day, slept in the car the first night there because we couldn't get a room.

Cool. Fremont is old but it's nice to be in that pace some times. You staying in the new tower at the Nugget? I hear it's nice. We stay in the old section so we can kick up a cigarette if we want to.

That's great. Thanks for the tip. Looks like I will be busy the next couple of days registering on casino websites.

You might find some useful data here. Or not.
