Most Cursed Sports Town?

Now with KC and Cleveland winning championships, who is now the most cursed sports town?

I think it would be Buffalo. Not only the four superbowl losses in a row but also the 1999 Stanley Cup finals and the skate in the crease game. The other would be Minneapolis. Yes, the Twins won a couple of World Series in the early 90s but since then a lot of heartbreak in football. The Atlanta Falcons playoff game and this years missed chip shot field goal come to mind.

They actually have the Sabres.

So if you count towns that have two major sports teams who have never won a championship, it's Buffalo, San Diego and Nashville. i give the nod to Buffalo because San Diego has the best weather in the world, while Buffalo has the worst weather in the US, and Nashville at least has Elvis.

My friends and I made up a drinking game when the Twins were in the WS. We decided that a homer was worth one beer, but if anyone hit a grand slam the loser would have to chug 4 beers in 5 minutes. And then Dan Gladden hits the first grand slam in the WS in like 50 years. I think my buddy Pat ended up projectile vomiting that night. Good times.

I know so little about hockey, I didn't know the Sabres existed.

Our retirement community is the biggest in American with 35 square miles and 115,000 residents and they're still building houses like crazy. There is over 50,000 golf carts and over 100 miles of golf cart trails throughout the community. Most people put their favorite teams on their cart. I played 18 holes of golf today, at teetime of 12:20 the temperature was 95 degrees and feels like was over 100. Since this photo I've added a pair of orange and black Orioles Dice hanging on the mirror.

I noticed you are in Florida. Thats funny, when I lived in Daytona 12 years ago I worked with a guy from Ohio and his favorite team was, you guessed it, the Steelers.

I would never consider a city with just one sports team to be cursed if they don't win.

Buffalo and San Diego are pretty high on the list IMHO. Cleveland may have slipped one notch now that LeBron brought an NBA championship to the city.

Still Cleveland. The Cavs are being treated like welcome relief, but they're an afterthought.
