How about this guy? He looked good, at least in the 2nd half at least.

Dude looked bad as a pass rusher in the first half, but he heated up as the game went on.

2 tackles, 1 sack, 1 QB hit, 1 TFL and another pressure in the 2nd half.

Hopefully he builds off of this bc he looked like a good player out there. He bent his body and turned that edge quickly on the sack. He finished the play which is something he didn't do last year.

5 sacks in 7 games started in his career. Maybe he's not a bust?

I wasn't paying close enough attention to personnel. How often did Hali play? Did he get in every quarter? Did they save him until the second half? I know I saw a lot of Zombo when we were getting beat.

My hot take on Dee Ford: He obviously has the physical talent. But he has crappy football instincts and might not be the sharpest tool in the shed. However, he's a hard worker and good character guy - so the optimistic projection is that it takes him a little (or a lot) longer to get it, but he eventually will.

Ford was horrible the first half. Second half he played a bit better. For the performance he is putting out, might as well let Dadi rotate in too.

Dee actually played well yesterday. The D line, Zombieo, and Marsh were awful though

I knock Dee Ford as hard as anyone, but the kid played a good game yesterday. The rest of the defense? Umm... I thought Gaines and March were solid but they each had their hiccups early. Other than that, not much to write home about.

Ford had a very good game... He sucked when the whole team was sucking. He shed his blocks well in the run game and was getting some pressure. Like I've said, he will turn it up this season. You can't write a guy off who's never had the chance to start, especially one with his first step. People are so quick to cut players here lol

March did not have a good game.. He struggled in pass d and over pursued his gap a few times, allowing for a few cutbacks. March and Peters played the worst IMO

March is expected to have some growing pains. I'm not worried about him. There was zero reason why our defensive line sucked in the first half.

I haven't looked at the stats but can only imagine we gave up something like 6 YPC to the soft ass Chargers.

Do you think putting Dadi in will make that better?

Ford was one of the only players on defense who played well consistently the entire game.

Our entire DL (minus Chris Jones), Berry, Zombo and Peters all played like shit yesterday.

So did DJ, actually DJ played way worse than March. That's a huge concern with the growing pains March will have for a few weeks.

I think rotating Dadi in will help in the long run. Zombo.. I dont even...

I'll have the A22 film in a few hours to look over tonight. It took the entire defense 45 minutes to wake up.
