I can't remember if our Clone Wars series discussion was here or not, so my apologies.
Apparently, the "Lost Missions" weren't aired but are available on Netflix. We just finished up all six seasons. First off, there's no way Sifo-Dias appears because he was killed by Dooku, who assumed his identity for the creation of the clones on Kamino. The whole Force deal at the end reinforced the Midichlorians, which is a bummer but it also kinda explained the Sith. In a lot of ways, however, it made The Force dopey. Back in 1977, the idea of The Force was cool. Now it seems goofy. |

Star Wars is officially coming to Comic-Con International next month.
Part of the schedule for the week-long event in San Diego has now been revealed, and it's sure to drum up even more excitement ahead of the release of Episode VII - The Force Awakens in December. Star Wars will be taking over on Friday, July 10, with a Lucasfilm panel running from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Director JJ Abrams will be making an appearance alongside 'special guests' - which will no doubt include members of the film's cast. The schedule states that there will be a 'special look' at the upcoming movie, perhaps in the form of an extended trailer. Lawrence Kasdan, who penned the screenplay alongside Abrams and George Lucas, will also be appearing on the panel, as will Lucasfilm president and producer Kathleen Kennedy.

I don't know where you found that because you didn't link it, but from what I was told earlier, Disney dropped all of George's ideas for VII-IX. If he's involved, every "spoiler" out there is ridiculously way off base. |

Speaking of Comic-Con, this is what it looked like in 1976.

I thought the trial that Yoda faces in order to become a Force Ghost was hokey and too derivative of Dante's Inferno. I would have thought an 870 year old Master Jedi would have figured it out by now.
And while The Force was explained in the original as an energy field that binds the universe together, I didn't care for the witchcraft aspect with the Witches of Dathomir or Darth Sidious and his conjuring. I really hope that's the end of it and it's not further explored in the movies. |

http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2015/07/...logy-rogue-one
Darth Vader will appear in Rogue One Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One is one of the movies I've been most intrigued by. A spin-off set in the margins of the Star Wars universe? Previously this was the kind of stuff that was handled in toss-off tie-in books and comics, but will now be as much a part of the canon as any other filmed story. It's neat, and it begins to expand the Star Wars Universe in exciting ways. And this story itself is pretty cool - a ragtag group of heroes and scoundrels united in an effort to steal the plans of the Death Star. It's the kind of off-screen action that has sparked our imaginations for decades, and done right it could be an exciting addition to the mythology. Done wrong and it'll be a total bummer. And by the way - it has nothing to do with Bothans. That's Return of the Jedi you're thinking of. Hopefully this weekend at Comic-Con we will get some more information about the film, but in the meantime I have a tiny tidbit to share. I ran into a good source this past weekend and, over drinks, was told a nugget that should make people pretty intrigued: Darth Vader will be in Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One. He will not be the main antagonist but he will be working behind the scenes, pulling strings and will appear onscreen. Literally, I'm told - he'll be showing up via viewscreen or holo projection or something. Will our heroes actually run into the Dark Lord of the Sith in person? My source wouldn't say. My source was also mum about Grand Moff Tarkin, who was of course the commander of the fully operational Death Star. It makes sense that Vader would be a presence in this movie, but it's still exciting. This will be the first time we have seen real Darth Vader (no, I am not counting the "DO NOT WANT!" Vader from Revenge of the Sith) in live action since 1983. This will be Vader at the critical moment in his history, working for Tarkin but still a legendary menace whose appearance strikes fear into the hearts of all who encounter him. This is the Vader who walks in and ****s shit up personally, the guy who Tarkin points at a problem to make it disappear. This is classic Darth Vader. James Earl Jones recently revoiced Vader for Star Wars Rebels, but I have to say that I noticed a difference. How could there not be - Jones is an old dude at this point! I wonder if they'll go back to Jones for this or if Lucasfilm is going to find themselves a new voice of Vader, someone they can use reliably for the next few decades. This would be a strong way to introduce that new voice. |

Wow, Han Solo Film to be helmed by the Lego Movie Peeps
http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/m...tors/29830333/ Disney announces Han Solo spin-off Han Solo, the spotlight is yours. Disney announced on Tuesday that a Han Solo spin-off is in the works, with The LEGO Movie directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord behind it. The new Star Wars chapterwill focus on Han Solo's pre-Princess Leia days. "This is the first film we've worked on that seems like a good idea to begin with," said Miller and Lord in a statement released by Disney. The directors have also helmed Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street. According to Disney, the prequel will focus on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley. (No word on whether Harrison Ford will cameo.) "We promise to take risks, to give the audience a fresh experience, and we pledge ourselves to be faithful stewards of these characters who mean so much to us," said Miller and Lord. "This is a dream come true for us. And not the kind of dream where you're late for work and all your clothes are made of pudding, but the kind of dream where you get to make a film with some of the greatest characters ever, in a film franchise you've loved since before you can remember having dreams at all." The Han Solo movie is lated for release on May 25, 2018. |
