Berry is a good player and he would be nice to keep around and all. But really we should have drafted Earl Thomas we needed a free safety not a box backer.

So in 2012 he gets in to the pro bowl because they threw him a bone and he didn't deserve it. I agree... Last year he easily made it, because according to you its a popularity contest. You can't have it both ways... He deserved the 2013 bowl based on his performance that year, in 2012 he steadily got back to form. You sound like a whining bitch because we don't have Earl and the Seahawks won the Super Bowl. Quick lesson for you, a free safety of Earl's caliber isn't going to win the Chiefs a Super Bowl...

Berry is a good guy but he hasn't payed dividends that was heeped and hyped on him coming out of College. He is very good but he isnt a big play game changer or really shown he will be. Through no fault of his own it was a terrible injury. I just dont think he fits what we need in the D. We need to seal the second and third tier of our D and he doesnt offer us that playing in the box. I just have a feeling he wont renegotiate his contract to be more cap friendly. He is grossly over paid for what he is giving us.

Both players played FS coming out of college, and it isn't like Berry is all that much bigger than Thomas (about 10 lbs of difference between the two)

Eric Berry was a ballhawking free safety in college. Had we taken Earl Thomas and the Seahawks taken Berry, then everybody would be talking about Berry and the Seahawks defense the way they talk about Thomas and the Seahawk defense.

Yeah I edited it. Shit happens I tend to look the other way when this happens to others but your one those that live for pointing it out i guess.

I read the Mellinger article I dont agree about a 3rd or maybe 2nd rounder. I wouldnt make the trade for less than a Nice first rounder and a 3rd. But I would keep all options open. I do agree you got to keep Houston. Hali maybe ripe to move.
