This doesn't sound like the NFL "ignored" the video. No, they probably aren't going to bribe someone like TMZ would, but that's not "ignoring" it.

What does the NFL really care if he plays? Like I said, this isn't Peyton or some future league star. After his last season, he was headed for the bench anyway.

Rice was about to begin year 3 of his 5 year, $35 million deal.

From what I can tell, he will at least lose $9 million of the $15 million guaranteed. Can't the team claw back some of the previously paid $6 million in bonuses based on the personal conduct release? So he might only end up getting to keep $3 million of that possible $35, which is the total of his previously earned base salaries? Right?
