****OFFICIAL 2013-2014 Fantasy Football Repository Thread****

Let me preface this by saying I'm an idiot. Originally posted this thread in the wrong forum.

So, let's try this again.

This is a thread to tide us FFL'ers until the start of the season.

I've been talking to a bunch of guys lately re: fantasy football. I can't wait.

If you're a hater and don't get or enjoy FF then you can suck a bag of dicks.

How many leagues are you in? What are the buy-ins?

Old Dog you going to Vegas again?

This year I want a late pick. RBs are all about the same 2-8. At the end of the first you can get a stud RB and one of the top 3 QBs or WR. If you pick at the top (2-4) you get the same caliber RB but get stuck with a 2nd tier player on your 2nd round pick.

I pray I dont get the 2nd pick. Id rather have McCoy/Richardson/Rice and, say, AJ Green or Peyton Manning instead of Spiller/Martin/Lynch and Larry Fitzgerald or Cam Newton.

But who knows. The guy who won our league last year went Rice, Cam, Gronk in the first 3 rounds and still ended up with Demaryius Thomas and Dez Bryant.

If I pick back end, I'll be hoping for a McCoy/Dez combo

My overriding plan this year is to wait on QB's more than ever. Even if you are the last in a 10-12 team league, you're still getting a Romo, RGIII, Luck. I'll take it, while stocking up at RB/WR.

Picked 5/12. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 W/T, 1 flex, 1 k, 1D.

QB - Brees, Dalton
RB - Martin, Matthews, Ivory, Dwyer, Bell
W/T - Cobb, Cruz, V. Brown, Witten, Thompkins, Finley
Denver D
Zuerlein.

Really hoping Cobb and Cruz aren't too hurt. I was pretty stoked Martin and Brees fell to me.

Big money league (the one from the Vegas posts last year). Had 12th pick, was bound and determined to go RB/RB much like I've been saying on here for a month, and it got thrown out the fricking window when Brees was available at 12.
6 point for all TDs, .5 per reception

QB-Brees, Cutler
RB- McCoy, L. Miller, D. Richardson, Bell, P. Thomas
WR- A. Johnson, J. Nelson, Shorts, Britt
TE- Gonzalez, Housler
K- Brown
D-Bears, Chiefs

likely starters bolded....not great, but should compete.

I like it. In my league Brees fell to me in the middle of the second round.

RBs flew off the board.

Had two drafts this weekend. One was a fairly competitive league -- we start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 W/T, 1 K, 1D. We also get return yardage. I had 5/12.

Brees, Dalton
Martin, Matthews, Ivory, Dwyer, Bell
Cobb, Cruz, V. Brown, Witten, Finley, Thompkins
Zeurlein
Denver D.

Second league is a family bragging rights league, but competitive nonetheless. We start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs. 1 Flex, 1 K, 1 D. That team:

Romo
Charles, Forte, Wilson, Lacy, Tate
Bryant, Amendola, Givens, Graham, Gronkowski, Gordon, Hopkins, V. Brown
Zeurlein
St. Louis D

I like both teams a lot. Obviously, I'm banking on Cobb and Cruz getting healthy -- and Matthews not being such a puss.

Thoughts?

It's a little skewed. While I love my family - they're not into fantasy football as much as I am. Some defenses and kickers flew off early. But, I think my team will be pretty good -- I really like Romo/Bryant this year.
