Brit Floyd: Space and Time Tour 2015

I saw these guys a few nights back at Adler Theater in Davenport, IA. If you're any sort of Pink Floyd fan, I strongly urge you to make it out to a show near you. For those of us too young to have seen the real thing, this copycat act is pretty goddamn awesome.

The show I saw was on the 42nd anniversary of the release of DSOTM; so I'm not sure if the set list was intentionally DSOTM heavy for this show, or if the tour is set up that way in general; but we got a heavy dose of that album. They covered all the stuff from Syd Barrett Floyd up to newer Gilmour stuff; but stuck pretty heavily to the vintage Floyd we all know and love. The only gripe I had with the song selection was they only played one track (Sheep) from Animals; but I understand why. Although you could tell the audience just didn't give a shit about the Barrett stuff or the newer stuff because a ton of people filtered out to the restrooms during these songs.

I'm guessing they played something like 25 songs. The show started at 8 and ended a little after 11 with one tweny minute intermission. The tickets for the Davenport show were damn cheap ($38) and well, well worth that price. These guys were just really, really fun to listen to. The accompanying visual and light show was pretty ****ing rad too.

DO IT FLOYD FANS. DO IT.

Im going when they come to the midland in june. My father has seen tons of floyd and floyd cover bands over the years and he says they are the best floyd cover period.

Didn't Floyd just put out a new album? Maybe they will tour again?
