Whether a guy is "worth" a certain amount of pretend money has never entered into the equation for me.
Because you have a billion schrute bucks to spend. I do not.

If you're trying to make the best use of fairly scarce resources, in a market where a few teams most assuredly do not have scarce resources (3 or 4 of you just have silly amounts of money), you can't get into massive bidding wars over 2nd tier players.

I've gotta bargain shop if I hope to actually fill holes. It likely means that I'll end up getting nothing for my efforts (as I'm mostly just taking flyers at this point), but in an environment where Desmond Bryant is going to take $170 to sign and Richard Sherman may end up over $450, I have to be a little more cautious with how I spend my Stanley Nickels. I can't run with you folks.

Powerhouse teams like Duluth have to protect our current rosters, which means we don't have tons of money for free agency. Duluth has been bidding like crazy, but to date we have signed only a kick returner and a punt returner, both for $1. It's almost as if free agents don't want to play in our outdoor stadium in northern Minnesota.

Sorry. I wasn't ready to see Dunbar come off the board. It was nothing personal.

Per Rotowire:

The Clearwater Donkeys have released Demarcus VanDyke and Shawntae Spencer.

Impact: This move was expected with the Donkeys' recent acquisitions of Tarell Brown and Chris Owens. They are both former Raiders trash, so there's really nothing to see here.

I'm very surprised one of these teams sitting on fat stacks of cash didn't bid up Victor Cruz.

Richmond and Portland are the Dan Snyders of Sandbox right now.

Those boys are just out there throwing around bids and making things impossibly high for the rest of us.

It's been interesting to see how just a couple of teams can just annihilate the FA market.

I figured Cruz would go for more as well. I'm not sure he should; teams doubled him down the stretch last year and he had zero answers. But in the end, he's a flashy player and a big name - I was certain he'd go for a ton.

Duluth signs 35 year-old CB Antoine Winfield to a five-year contract and is happy to do it. To make room, we cut RT Ryan Harris.

Hey he was one of the best corners last season. Good pickup, you can always cut him.

We need his veteran presence in the backfield to mentor our three rookie corners.

Okay, now that I got him for exactly what I wanted him for (a bottom dollar 3-year deal), you have to explain WTF you were thinking with this one.

Sure, he may well suck - but you're aware that Rob Chudzinski, the new HC for the Browns, was instrumental in the development of Antonio Gates, yes? And Weeden isn't a guy that's going to do a good job firing outside of the hash marks, but he could do some damage down the seams. Cameron's a heck of an athlete, a smart player and someone that can absolutely do damage over the middle.

I'm honestly excited as hell by what Cameron could turn into. The odds certainly don't favor him becoming a superstar or even a good player, but at the same time, how do you just cut the guy outright? There's some definite potential there and a 90% chance at the starting gig in an offense that's likely to be pretty TE heavy.

I was hoping he'd stay under the radar because I think he has a chance to be an absolute steal. And if not, what's the loss?

Hey Rain Man or CD, when going to game planning and defensive lineup Morris Claiborne and Jerrell Freeman are not available in the drop down menus when selecting my starters at CB and LB positions but they are on my roster. Is there a time period after the draft/free agency that I have to wait, or should they be automatically available?
