In fataliity shootings they do not! They call in other agencies, Impartial investigators. It’s been this way every where I’ve been for 28 years. When investigating a crime, an impartial witness is more important to the case than a partial witness. But you take both and compare to the facts, evidence. Weed out the more and less truthful versions. You don’t tell everyone or the media so a partial witness can appear impartial. You wait to hear what they have and why they have it.

Do you think that any action would've happened by the police if there wasnt a video showing that murder and why when George Floyd's family sues (which they surely will) why that money will be coming out of the MN taxpayers pockets as opposed to the police union? Why shouldn't the union have to pay that probably record breaking settlement?

Coming from someone who spent this entire thread talking about black on black crime, unwed mothers, cops killed by black people and everything besides what Mahomes was talking about you saying that I'm creating narratives off subject is hilarious. Your point was saying that speaking out against racism isn't bravery b/c "reasons" I was highlighting that comment and commenting off of that....you know that's how message boards usually work. No. I'm commenting on what you said and quoted you in order to get you to expand on your ideas or defend your thought process. Which you've done neither. You're doing what you've been doing this whole thread and that is distract from the original point.

My posts have been clear and relevant. Now you try to say you are just asking for my thought process? No clearly not. You accused me of denying racism is real, thinking the players are whiny, and that I won’t be watching anymore. Show me even one posts that supports even one of those accusations. I have visited MN but never worked there. However the St. Louis area is a pretty leftist blue area of missouri, and in Texas it was a pretty conservative red area, so; in my experience - use of force deaths are investigated by an outside agency. So I’d assume it would be. We don’t just take dead bodies out by the airport and dispose of them.

And Medical examiners pride themselves on finding causes of death. They are not connected to original agency or the investigating agency. The prosecutor’s office often have their own investigators making sure the evidence from the original agency and the investigation agency match evidence from the medical examiner.

So yes I think it would be investigated

As far as lawsuits, I’m ok with going after the individual but the city has more money. Let’s face it; the retirement fund of a department with a hundred officers (random number) may have a retirement fund with millions, but the city still has more.

I could see the other three getting less punishment than they did. Depending if they had other issues or not. But the one with the knee probably still gets fired. None of the punishment would come out as fast as it did, because the prosecutor would wait for all the information to be available. But to appease the mob mentality (when it gets internet fame) they just fired all four hoping to minimize the riots. But that doesn’t work either.
